“We had a fabulous stay and will certainly be returning”
+I loved the location and the quirkiness of the hotel
−Nothing, although I do wish the parking facilities were larger with marked bays.

“A few things could have been better”
+The location was ideal. The room was modest but was clean. The front desk staff were very helpful. The food was excellent.
−The restaurant floor was dusty and dirty. It didn’t look like it had been swept. Considering the price, we were surprised that we had to ask twice for drinks in the restaurant - we expected better service. We stayed on a Saturday night but very early Sunday morning, the staff were talking loudly outside our room. It sounded like someone was being trained! The car park is limited on spaces and is across the road so is not that convenient.

+We were a group of ladies celebrating 35 years of friendship and our stay at Stanwell House was fabulous. We received a very warm welcome from the reception team and the service from all the staff we encountered was impeccable. We were surprised and delighted to be given an upgrade and all our rooms were extremely comfortable - tastefully decorated, sumptuous beds and quality bedding. The hotel is ideally located right in the High Street and the parking across the road was convenient. It would be a great base for exploring the area. There's a cosy bar and we enjoyed the pre-dinner cocktails. A special shout out to the chefs/kitchen team for our delicious meal - we all had something different and every dish was truly top notch. The young woman serving us was also a delight (I wish I had asked her name to mention her specifically). I would highly recommend this hotel. It was a very special stay and we will definitely be visiting again, probably in the summer to enjoy the pretty garden. Thank you everyone!
