“Great stay, highly recommend.”
+Lodge was clean tidy and the lake was beautiful. Very peaceful, helpful staff.
−Only thing was the activities aren't on this time of year which we didn't realise but not a big issue, still a lovely stay and just means we have a reason to rebook in future when they have all their activities on.

“Okay but I’m not sure we’d return”
+It’s very out of the way, good for a quiet weekend. The staff meet you on arrival and show you to your room. You can not fault the staff they were a message away the whole time we stayed and helpful when needed
−You have a good 5/10 min walk through thick mud to get to your cabin. The room wasn’t the clean (looked like it had been tidied not cleaned). The hot tub is very expensive to get up and running. The walk from the hot tub to cabin is on mud, and there’s no lighting around the hot tub other than the little lights at the bottom. There was dirt at the bottom of the hot tub. The cabins aren’t massively private (you can see into others and vice versa)

“Was nice to try something different!”
+Was very pretty! The staff were great
−Shame we couldn’t use the lake, I didn’t know this when I booked, The kettle was full of limescale Spiders everywhere (I know this can’t be helped) No oven 🥴 The hot tub was smelly and dirty After one use, the lovely staff drained it, however the same thing happened again! Would be nice to get the activities discounted.

+The property had some lovely views, and the staff were helpful when we had no hot water , they sorted it out quickly, which we appreciated.
−The property was generally okay, but there were a few issues that made the stay less comfortable. There were spider webs in the corners, and there wasn’t a TV in the bedroom. The TV in the living room also had a very limited viewing angle. Parking was quite inconvenient , you have to walk about five minutes along a muddy path each time you want to get to the cabin. The access road to the site is also full of potholes. The electrical box looks very outdated; the last inspection sticker said the next test was due in February 2024, and it’s now November 2025. There was no discount offered for onsite facilities, and the hot tub was an additional £46 for roughly an hour’s use, which felt overpriced for something we thought was included within the cost of the stay.
