“Nice pub, pleasant place to stay”
+Good location - nice room - good pub
−Booked breakfast for the Monday morning but when we went down for it everything was locked up! - so no breakfast!

“Enjoyable relaxing break”
+Breakfast very good, choice excellent, perhaps some jam or marmalade to go with toast would be nice. evening meals tasty & well cooked. Beers were good also. Hosts very friendly, humour was good too.

“Good but too loud”

−Was not informed about live band just below our room on Friday night . So loud and disturbing until after 11pm. It would have been nice to have been informed before booking.

+The room was very clean , it was well equipped and so comfortable In the pub the staff were great , the beer and food soooo tasty and 😍
−We liked everything but the only thing that was not so good was the traffic noise however ear plugs did the trick

“Loud rock band playing directly under accommodation”
+Staff welcoming and lovely room
−The really really really loud rock band playing in the bar right under the accommodation until 11:30. Not acceptable and completely ruined our stay. Not what was needed after a four hour plus drive to get there and expecting a quiet evening in the countryside.

“It was good apart from the belting music on the Friday evening.”
+The breakfast was fine but quite expensive as everything was priced individually. Service was good and a quite reasonable ranges of choices on the menu. There was a specials menu.
−On one night they had live music which was directly below our room. The floor was vibrating as it was so loud and it went on till just gone 2300hrs. It felt like we were trying to sleep on top of the speakers! They knew it was on but didn't tell us until the day. We might not have booked if we'd known. There was no apology!

“Brilliant stay”
+Brilliant accommodation really clean and staff are really friendly and helpful! Check in was effortless and no problems ! Prices were really good value, there’s other pubs about 0.6miles if you wanted to change it up for food and shops 0.6miles away so plenty around

“Lovely Dales stay”
+Lovely room . Great staff. Friendly . Some more efficient than others. Able to get in and out without pub being open. Great band on the Friday! Good location and parking
−Maybe a bit more variety on breakfast but staff were very helpful so you could probably ask for different variations

“A pleasant stay close to the tourist sites were visiting”
+The room was nicely decorated, slightly small but we had a lot of luggage with us (wedding clothes, away for two weeks) and it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, and we had nice pillows and a good night’s sleep. We could park in a spacious carpark across the road, and we felt it was secure over there. We had a picnic for the two nights we were staying, and it was nice to sit outside at tables as the weather was very good. We also had a fan in our room as we were staying in the summer heatwave. It was in a good location for Chatsworth, Hadden Hall and Eyam which were places were planning to visit.
−Our room was right on the road, which was very quiet from 10.30 until 6pm, but after that it was busy. Although in the heart of the countryside, this was a well used road with trucks and farm vehicles. Breakfast was not included in our booking, although it was available if we paid extra for it.
