+The homeowner was very nice and patiently waiting for me. He was friendly explained the location of the house and how to travel around. The room was clean and tidy, close to the grand central station and cost-effective. It’ very nice.

“I was able to do what I wanted in Belfast. There was easy access from this location to the city.”
+Room was very clean and everything worked. It was a short bus ride to the centre of town and a convenient location. The owner provided lots of historical context to the area and was most helpful.
−Lots of stairs, but that is normal in this part of the world.

+The room was clean and affordable.
−I picked these accommodations because I needed a ride to the airport. I found out they no longer provide a shuttle. The owner did arrange for a taxi, which I appreciated.

+It was within easy walking distance of everything, the room was clean and had a good shower.
−It was a bit cramped in the room as not much room for luggage. The toilet seat was loose and could with a bit of TLC.

“This is a dump and booking.com could not care less”
+Absolutely nothing. If I could have given this dump a negative rating I would have. Nothing like the photos on booking.com.
−I arrived at Springfield B&B Belfast on the 23 July and left on the 23 July after spending only a few hours in the building. I subsequently had to pay over £500, via Booking.com, for a four night stay at Belfast Holiday Inn. Springfield B&B was extremely unkempt externally and internally and in addition to this it was not in keeping with the photographs on booking.com. The large dining room shown on this website now appears to be where the owner of the property is living. It was incredibly cluttered, untidy and unhygienic. As a lone female traveller my safety is paramount. I deliberately chose accommodation within easy walking distance of Grand Central Station. The closer I got the B&B the more unkempt the whole area became and the more unsafe I felt. There was rubbish outside the B&B at the entrance door and the windows were filthy with grime. Internally was little better. My bedroom door had a keypad entry. There was no way to deadbolt the door once in the bedroom meaning anyone with the code could enter my room when I was inside. The en suite was so small the door could not be closed when bending over to use the sink. I am only 8 stone and 5 foot 4 with a small frame. The toilet

+Kevin, the proprietor, was very kind and willing to help. The room was good, precisely what I expected for such a price: clean, comfortable, and quiet. It's not right in the center, but it's a short walk (and the area is very interesting, so it's worth it!).
−Nothing in particular.
