“Charming stay in a restored historic building”
+Sorge Palace is in a great location, right next to the main piazza in the old town. It's a restored historic building with only a few rooms. My gps got it wrong as more often in italian historic centres! From Piazza Umberto I, turn into Via Pietro Lanza di Scalea. Then take the very first street on your right (Via Principe di Trabia). Then turn the first right again (a dead end). At the very (dead) end is the entrance door (via Andrea Chiaramonte). I parked my car on the opposite Piazza Rom. Our large room was spotless and full of light, with a balcony, a comfortable bed, a sofa, a desk and a modern bathroom. For breakfast we chose to have a croissant, yoghurt and espressos, served by the lovely owner. After arrival and check-in we had a nice dinner at Café Divinity on Via Palermo. The next morning, after checking out, we put our suitcases in the car and spent some time wandering the narrow streets of the centro storico before heading to our next destination.

“Comfortable, affordable and centrally located.”
+A really lovely boutique hotel with a continental breakfast included in the price. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and it is located right in the centre of town, close to excellent restaurants and bars. There is free street parking nearby.
−It may be noisy occasionally? It did not bother me at all, but we stayed on the night of a big commune party in the town square (where the hotel is located), which only finished at 2 am. I actually loved the music, which was not too loud at all in the room. The room is pretty well isolated sound-wise - double glazing and an air conditioner - but it might be worth checking of there is a major festival in the town if this is likely to bother you. I do not think that they are that common. I stayed on Thurs 3rd September, which is part of the main town festival for the year: https://www.enjoysicilia.it/en/events/festa-madonna-ss-dei-miracoli-mussomeli/

“Centro storico”
