10.0“Will come back to meet my friends”
+This was my second solo trip, and I fell in love with Sinag even before arriving. While looking for a place to stay, I was drawn to the reviews , they felt so genuine and heartfelt, clearly written by real people rather than AI. And when I finally got there, Sinag turned out to be even better than I had imagined. Sinag isn’t a party hostel, and that’s exactly what makes it special. Every person I met here was genuinely kind, open-hearted, and welcoming. The kind of people you meet here don’t just remain hostel acquaintances. Even when I wasn’t staying at Sinag anymore, I kept coming back to hang out with the friends I had made , whether it was taking a walk on the beach, sharing a meal, or singing our hearts out at karaoke. To me, Sinag captures the true spirit of Siargao: open-minded, positive, and rooted in a deep appreciation for both nature and human connection. It’s more than just a place to stay; it’s a place that brings good people together and makes you feel like you belong, even when you’re travelling alone. I came to Siargao on my own, but I’m leaving with so many beautiful memories and people I know I’ll meet again. Thank you, Sinag, for being such a special part of this
−Not much, there was a planned power outage in the whole island, so there’s no hot water and ac but not their problem.

9.0“Great facilities, affordable prices, good location, but even better people at Sinag Hostel.”
+There was A LOT to like about Sinag Hostel. Although the facilities (more than spacious private lockers, AC, temperature-controlled showers, community events, and the multitude of other amenities like the snack bar, moped rental, surf school) were amazing for the price point, the staff/volunteers were by far my favorite aspect of Sinag Hostel. The memories I shared with the people at Sinag Hostel were by far the highlight of my Philippines trip. Huge thanks to everyone who made Sinag what it is today, and I can highly recommend it for your next stay in Siargao.
−Personally, there wasn't anything to dislike about Sinag Hostel during my stay. However, it might be good to know for some individuals that there are animals (who are extremely reserved) on the property, as well as members of the community who utilize Sinag as a place for recreational activities occasionally.

7.0“It’s a good hostel with a quiet atmosphere and friendly staff, but don’t expect too much from the facilities.”
+Laid back location and quiet place.
−The facilities are a bit old, and the bathroom in my room had an unpleasant smell. However, the staff were very accommodating and kindly offered me another room.

10.0“Sinag Hostel isn't just a place to rest after a day of island adventures,it’s a destination in itself. I left with a”
+The Creative Aesthetic: The hostel beautifully lives up to its name (Sinag meaning ray of light). It is bright, beautifully designed, and infused with artistic touches that give it so much soul and character. It’s an absolute dream for anyone who loves good design and a high-vibe environment. The Community & Energy: The atmosphere here is unmatched. It strikes the perfect balance between social and laid-back. Whether you want to swap stories with fellow travelers over morning coffee or find a cozy, inspiring corner to unwind, the spaces are thoughtfully designed for both deep connection and personal comfort. The Heart-Centered Hospitality: The team here is the real magic. They go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels seen, welcomed, and taken care of. They don't just offer accommodations; they curate an inclusive, family-like experience and share the best insider local tips.
