+The staff were really kind and friendly. Room was clean and cabanas in a great location. Great advice given on where to eat on a evening and the breakfast at Silaa was yummy. Owner helped us book a snorkelling trip with a good company and we had a great day out.

+The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great for uppuveli beach, just a few minutes walk to the centre of the action but tucked away at the end of a quiet side street.
−The cabin is very rustic and a little tired. May be more reflective of the general prices in Uppuveli but seemed expensive for what it is in comparison to other places we've stayed in Sri Lanka.

“Lovely location, but problems with nighttime noise.”
+Location of the property was perfect. Five minute walk to the beach and within minutes of multiple restaurants and cafes. The property owner and Vani (lady taking care of the property) were lovely to deal with. Rooms were a great size with plenty of hanging space and bathroom was clean and good size. Property itself was well kept - great character.
−I found the foam mattress to be quite uncomfortable - possibly due to its age? I also found that whilst the location of the property in the village was interesting, it also meant that there was a lot of noise at night. Sri Lankan neighbours were up until late in the night living their lives in a very loud way, and the village dogs were howling, whining and barking throughout the night. Unfortunately, this extremely adversely affected my sleep.

Rustige plek, kleinschalig.
