10.0+We had a wonderful stay at Shoriya. We can't say enough good things about our hosts; they were kind, helpful, and funny. The home-cooked breakfasts every morning were 10/10. The location is excellent for exploring the amazing area in and around Nagano. Our room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. Easily one of the best places we've ever stayed.
−Not a complaint but we wondered if we could have used the breakfast table to have a quick bite to eat at midday or at dinnertime. Next time we will ask.

10.0“Happy stay at Nagano with plenty to see and do”
+The delightful hosts were friendly and kind. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. The hosts went out of their way to make sure our time in Nagano was happy and interesting and smooth. They offered a lift to the station and were enthusiastic to help us plan our days. If I could give more stars, I would😘 We loved the zenkoji shrine, Matsumoto Castle, the Sanada parade and fireworks, Togakushi shrine and the hiking. Would highly recommended ❤️

10.0+What an amazing discovery this property is, from first sight, it is loaded with Japanese charm. The charm goes much deeper, too. Our hosts were a delight from the beginning. From the welcome tea, the morning breakfast, being driven to the bus stop, and guidance to the restaurant for dinner, there was nothing that was too much trouble. We were completely endeared to our hosts for giving us a memorable experience.

10.0“One of the best experience ever”
+The hosts are simply special. Sleeping on futon was good. Onsen was insane. The small breakfast you get is made with love.
−Maybe it’s a little bit far from the center of Nagano. But to drive 20 min with a bus is fully worth the experience.

10.0“One of our favourite stays in Japan. The hots were amazing!”
+It was a beautiful new build with history in its finishings like the 100 year old doors. It was comfortable and a great size.
−It was a little far from the Nagano train station but still had plenty of things around it.

10.0“Stay at this place if you plan to come to Nagano. You won’t regret!”
+It’s a very cute place, we stayed in the Japanese style room with futons. They were very comfortable with thick fluffy blankets. The toilet and bathroom are what you would expect, clean and functional. The hosts were very lovely and we had a great time talking to them. They served us soup and coffee in th morning, makes us feel at home which we loved! Highly recommend.
−Nothing. Could be a short drive to the main Nagano city but location wise it’s quite convenient with access to supermarket, chemist and some good food options.

10.0“Very authentic Japanese stay with the most lovely hosts!”
+The owners were the loveliest people! They were very authentic Japanese and provided a true Japanese experience. From providing us tea and local treats they even gave us a honeymoon gift as we left. This place would be best enjoyed if you have a car as the bus station is a bit of a walk away!
−Nothing!

10.0“The ideal base for a ski safari from Nagano. A wonderful stay.”
+This modern inn is extremely comfortable and convenient if you are driving. It's close to large supermarkets and shops and restaurants. The room had every convenience and was attractively designed. The little onsen bath was wonderful after a day skiing. The bonus was the hosts Fumie and Haruhiko, who were charming and very helpful. Fumie provided a delicious homemade soup every morning with coffee and fruit as well as green tea and snacks on our return each day. Haruhiko knew all the ski resorts and could advise which one to go to each day. The perfect stay!
