+This is perhaps my most favorite hotel stay ever! We stayed for 2 separate weekends, bookending our trip over to one of the islands. Shila Athens is just gorgeous, every detail so thoughtful and inviting. We were in the Artist Atelier for 2 nights for the first weekend, and in the Garden Retreat for 3 nights for the second weekend. Both are lovely and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. The staff is amazing. Quietly in the background yet so helpful, friendly, professional and welcoming. This will be our go-to spot in Athens. The location is perfect, close to the shops and cafes of Kolonaki and Syntagma Square, and well as a short walk over to lively Exarchia and the great Saturday market. We loved having breakfast in our room, and enjoyed evenings on the beautiful roof terrace. Everything was perfect!

“At Shila on the first two days of our visit to Athens, the experience was warm and welcoming!”
+The staff at Shila tailored our breakfast to suit any allergies we had. It was beautifully served, the freshest ingredients, a wonderful assortment of choices and served out on their patio, comfortable surroundings and the company of plants.
−Nothing!

“Lovely boutique stay in Athens”
+We had a gorgeous room in Shila - just wish we could have enjoyed it more as we were out and about. But the room was comfy, had lots of thoughtful touches and the staff hospitible.

“Chic design combined with a welcoming, personal atmosphere”
+Very chic and cool boutique hotel. Nicely renovated with intentional design. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was very nice with a personal feel. The personal touch makes it feel like you have your own little place in an apartment building.
−We stayed in the smaller room, which do not have a ton of extra space to unpack your luggage. It can be really hot in Athens in August.

“Incredibly warm and well designed/decorated space that felt like home. Staff were knowledgeable and helped book busy”
+The most thoughtfully designed hotel, massive rooms with so much character and delightful communal spaces that were spread out so it felt like you had the place to yourself. Bathrooms in particular are gorgeous.
−Nothing.
