10.0“Wonderful lodge”
+It was clean, everything except for towels was provided. There's an honesty shop which has towels, bits of food which is amazing. The WiFi is decent! The owner responded quickly, they're friendly. The housekeeping lady that we met was so lovely. Everything you could need for cooking meals is provided. The heating is excellent. The negative reviews on Google seem incredibly harsh, the lodges are pet friendly so there is going to be a little wear and tear. The skylights yes arent the cleanest but they're under trees so we expected as much and they do the job. We will definitely be booking again and the value for money is unmatched. Oh and the trains, it's next to a train line, not that loud unless you have the door open can sleep through easily.
−Could do with instructions on how to use the radiators in the bathroom, I couldnt figure out how to turn them off. Likewise on dishwasher instructions, amazing it's provided but I was unsure on how to use it so chose to wash by hand rather than bothering the owner for something so trivial.

1.0“disappointed,was expecting better for the price”
+the place was quiet between 12pm -5am
−no one in there right mind would build a lodge park right next to a railway main line, the noise was not nice, very dissappointed, everything looked worn, sofa, dressing stool, masking tape holding the outside lights in,patio, needs a clean [jet wash] £125 extra to use the hot tub?looking at it no thanks. expensive, for the price, the site gave the apperance of not being maintained very well.

6.0“Nice trip to Cheshire.”
+We were up in Cheshire for a family wedding, and looking for something flexible that would suit our needs. This little site of a handful of cabins was just the thing. The location in North Rode was perfect for us, and there is good walking nearby, especially Bosley Steps, which is only a short distance away. Despite some the doubtful reviews I have seen recently - which had me a little worried about what we were letting ourselves in for - we were actually pleasantly surprised by how nice and spacious the cabin was, and our stay was a very comfortable one. The living room is a good size, with an open kitchen. The three bedrooms are roomy, and the addition of a bathroom and ensuite wet room is great for the money. The furniture, although a little tired, is of very good, solid, quality - and the beds are very comfortable. The cabin was cosy and warm, so it is obviously well-insulated. I can imagine it would be lovely with the log-burner going in colder weather. Plenty of hot water too. We had to bring our own towels (which we knew), but did not need the tea towels and cleaning products we had packed on the advice of another review - these were provided, which was very helpful. The rur
−There are some minor niggles, which could easily be fixed with some maintenance and keeping up with breakages. There are signs of damp in the ensuite wet room, which would not take much to look more presentable, and the heated towel rail clearly has broken controls (by the way, the master switch to power this is in the hall, if you are searching for it... like we were) so we were wary about leaving it on. There is a smell in the main bathroom, which did linger a bit (other people have commented on this in their reviews), although this got better once the shower had been used. I guess it is just build-up from the drains, and the air fresheners in the bathrooms did point to the fact that the owner is aware of this. Our main issues were kitchen based... There is a real lack of serviceable plates and cutlery - nowhere near enough given three bedrooms and a possible six adult guests. For example, there are only three dessert spoons! Some additions to the cutlery drawer are definitely required. And the fridge has an inexplicable habit of turning itself off. It was off when we arrived, and turned itself off a couple of times the first day or so we were there. We spent one night away at a

5.0“Dont waste your money. Not very clean”
+The location was in the countryside, we liked that. Lots of pots, pans, measure spoons etc. Good dishwasher
−We did not like being 10m from the train line ! Main line between Manchester and Macclesfield. If you have young children who sleep early, the last train was around 1045pm each night. They began around 6.30 am. I feel like the owner hasnt visited the property in a long time and his 'cleaner' doesn't understand her job.!! Quite a few crumbs left behind and the dishwasher had some dirty knives left behind in the top rack so it hadn't been checked either. Cobwebs everywhere outside. Lights all covered in cobwebs. Spend £10 on a new shower head and a new toaster. Make some effort. We couldn't use the toaster. It looked disgusting. Picture attached. it would take 5 mins to write a small instruction sheet for the radiators remote control system. I had to call to ask how to use it. Seems like they just cant be bothered making life easier for guests. I guess there is no repeat business here.

7.0“Spacious and cosy”
+Very spacious Easy to access Easy to park and find and it felt quite private Well stocked kitchen with all essential items to use
−Both nights of our stay there was a car in our space next to the property, luckily we could park next to the little shop/laundry room ( not the owners fault obvs) No towels were included which is odd as you don’t travel with towels when staying in full accommodations The en suite bathroom smelt a bit damp and the shower hose was rusty where it loops but otherwise clean

10.0“Excellent remote location to get away and chill or a base to explore the local area”
+Absolutely 5* stay. We spent 2 days here and we already miss it, the Lodge was brilliant, cozy, spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Fantastic idea of a honestly shed over the road from our lodge where you can do all your laundry, and buy drinks and food from. It was nicely stocked with pizzas, fish, oven/microwave chips, pies, sauces, drinks etc We paid extra for the hot tub too which was well worth it. The location is peaceful, and completely relaxing and the check in was smooth and stress free. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back.
