+Serene Home is one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with all the facilities I needed. Its location is very close to the city, making it convenient to get around. The host and his family were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel at home throughout my stay. I highly recommend Serene Home to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

“Must stay, beautiful experience!”
+This stay has been the highlight of our trip so far I cannot recommend it highly enough if you're staying in Kandy. The place is out of the city but not too far and in a beautiful quiet lane surrounded by greenery. The room was very clean and comfortable and we loved having the balcony which looked out onto palms and fruit trees. The best thing about the stay by far however was the incredible hospitality and welcome we had from Sri and his family. They took such good care of us, cooked delicious breakfasts and made sure we had tea when we came in. Sri was so generous in helping us travel to Kandy and we loved chatting to him, felt like we learned so much about Sri Lanka, it was a wonderful experience. Until next time!

“Peaceful location, comfortable and clean room and a welcoming host!”
+The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The location was 10 minutes outside of Kandy centre, but for me this was a positive due to the chaotic nature of Kandy itself - it was nice to have some peace out in the nature. The host himself was extremely welcoming, very friendly and happy to help without almost anything
−Just one small thing - no air conditioning. However, there is a fan mounted on the wall which kept us a little cooler.

“Authentic Sri Lankan hospitality”
+The host Sri makes ALL the difference here! The room itself is simple but spacious, with a proper shower box and hot water (no A/C needed in Kandy anyway), and a super breakfast, but what truly sets this place apart is Sri's incredible hospitality. Located 10 minutes by tuk-tuk from the center, it's great value for money. Sri went above and beyond - sharing his fridge, providing ayurvedic remedies when my partner was unwell, booking cultural dance shows at the best seats, giving endless helpful advice, and even driving us to the bus station for free when we left. He also helped organize activities for our next destinations through his contacts. Sri embodies the warm Sri Lankan spirit and his genuine care made our stay memorable. Highly recommended for travelers who value authentic hospitality over luxury amenities!
−The house is located down a narrow, steep road - one tuk-tuk driver refused to go down (though others had no issues). However, the neighborhood is very safe for walking, and we discovered that accessing from the other side offers a wider, gentler route through beautiful rice fields. Don't miss the spectacular walk to the right when leaving the house - it's like having your own private scenic viewpoint!

“Great host and peaceful escape from bustling Kandy”
+Peaceful location which gave a good respite away from the bustle of the town. Well looked after by the host, lovely breakfast. Helped with booking train tickets from Kandy - Ella on the day, which we were very thankful for as had been messed about by another provider! Nice bathroom, with hot shower.
−Our room didn’t have curtains on the window, which if you’re sensitive to light, then best to bring an eye mask. But this also meant the room was nice and light during the day time.

+Piccola guest house familiare molto bella fuori dal caos cittadino di Kandy ma raggiungibile in 10 Min. L' host e la sua famiglia sono gentilissimi, super carini e disponibili, pronti ad aiutarti se hai qualsiasi problema. Stanza grande e pulita. Colazione buona servita direttamente in camera. Parcheggio per il proprio tuk tuk direttamente nella guest house.
