“Amazing location in the mountains, calm and peaceful stay”
+We spent two nights at Seiryuso Ryokan. We walked from Rendaiji train station and it was a lovely 10 minute mountain view walk. We got to the ryokan about 45 minutes before check-in and they welcomed us warmly and immediately helped us with our luggages and checked us in smoothly. They explained how to use their rooms with tatami mats (as we haven't had the experience before) and also explained the entire area thoroughly. Our room had a river view and we could hear the river flowing when we opened the windows. They provided us with origami paper and instructions on how to make a crane. We loved this activity alot and learned something new! We enjoyed the onsens, pools, saunas and steam rooms all to ourselves between 6-8pm. The facilities were exceptional and very clean. And as we are coming from Finland, our review of their Finnish style sauna was 10/10 :D One mistake we did was to not reserve food ahead of time and weren't aware we can't just order food as any other hotel. This mistake was completely our fault and we should've looked into their official website instead of relying on booking .com information only. They are not able to provide breakfast and dinner without prior rese
−More information about the food reservations in booking.com site would be great. Disclaimer of "no possibility to arrange meals without prior reservation" would be helpful.

“Perfect Japanese hospitality with resort like touches!”
+A beautiful hybrid stay of traditional touches, Japanese hospitality and resort like facilities. Greeted at the carpark and taken to a beautifully appointed Japanese room. We made good use of the outdoor pool with a bar where you can order drinks and snacks as well as booked a couples massage which we found super relaxing and remedial. After the turn down service they refreshed the complimentary mini bar as well as giving a new snack each afternoon. The room was spacious and had a cute little soaking tub in the room. The location might be a problem for some as it’s a bit further out of town but we had a car so everything we wanted to see was within a 15 min drive of the hotel. Staff were so all so lovely and accommodating and as always we rudely can’t speak any Japanese and everyone did their best to communicate.
−Nothing major! Dropping the room keys off everytime you leave felt a bit unnecessary but literally also took an extra 5 seconds each way.

“Relaxing and delightful”
+Incredibly comfortable with very accomodating staff. The complementary drinks and snacks were also a lovely addition to the stay. The property itself has a wonderful charm, it’s very beautiful.

+ナイトプール、2種類のサウナロケーションが抜群に良くて最高でした！！！特別感を感じられる素敵な宿です。 大浴場は露天風呂の造りも温泉の湯質も良く、気持ちが良かったです。 エントランスの風情ある素敵な雰囲気でチェックイン時から気分が上がり、 その後のスタッフの方々が皆様ご親切で素敵な笑顔で丁寧にご対応くださり、 心地良く滞在できました。 建物は歴史があるようですが、 オシャレな内装でそれも良い雰囲気となり、 和室のお部屋でしたが綺麗なベッドで、くつろいで過ごすことができました！
−お部屋に冷蔵庫がありますが冷凍室はなく、 こちらのチェック不足で翌日のレジャー使用の為の氷や保冷剤を持ち込んだのですが冷やせなかったので、 翌日に購入すればよかったなと思いました。
