“All around wonderful!”
+Paulo was fantastic; great communication before and during my stay. Great location pre-cruise. Lots of great food within walking distance and an easy 5 minute walk to the port.

“Paolo was the best host!”
+Very central and close to port. Very clean, comfy bed and pillows. Very secure. Paolo was welcoming from the second we arrived and made sure we were comfortable and gave us recommendations on restaurants. He also went out of his way to make sure we got to our cruise with no taxis available and even helped us find where to go to get our shuttle for our ship, seriously, we couldn’t have done it without him. We were very grateful!

“Scirocco Rooms was a great stay for us!”
+This room did not disappoint! It was just what we needed after an intercontinental red-eye flight. Great location, in the city and near the water. Room was clean, quiet, with a great bathroom and shower. Really comfortable bed...probably my best sleep in months. Our point of contact for this trip was Paulo, who starting reaching out to us about a month before our travel...just to touch base, and see if we needed a ride from Rome's airport or from Civitavecchia's train station or anything else. On our arrival there, he met us just outside, and helped us with our bags into the room, told us about some of the sites to see and restaurants to visit, showed us how to get to the cruise terminal the next day...bottom line, he was prepared to assist us with anything else we might need during our stay. Paulo did an outstanding job for us. We are so grateful for his help, making the start of our trip a wonderful experience.

+Paolo was absolutely the best thing about the property. He was extremely attentive and available. Met us on arrival and gave us good suggestions where to eat etc. Room was clean, shower great, bed comfortable and location perfect.

+The room was perfectly located, clean and orderly. Communication from Paolo was very clear and prompt. He helped arrange transport from Rome as well as to the port (which can also be walked in about 5 minutes to a complementary cruise shuttle bus).

“A taste of Italy.....”
+The host, Paolo, was a wonderful communicator via text messaging. There are somewhat confusing prior reviews. The rooms are located on the 2nd floor above businesses. There is no reception area, and our only contact was with Paolo. The main door is shared with what appear to be apartment rentals, needing a key for entry. There is a separate door leading to the rooms available from Paolo. This door also has a separate key/lock, as does the room. He brought our luggage to the room- as the on site elevator does not appear to be working. He took the time to be available upon our arrival and quickly gave a tour and provided recommendations for where to eat and how to get to port, if we wanted to walk ourselves there the the next day. When we decided it was too hot to stroll the short distance with our luggage, he was kind enough to set up an Uber for us on short notice. He was available upon departure as well to bring out luggage to street level. He also assisted us to obtain cheaper travel to the airport upon return to the port. He is a gracious host. The location was in a good place, with restaurants and a market right across the street, and a coffee shop (with ice cream) in the same
