+I really enjoyed my stay at Schondorf Hostel! The place is neat, clean, well-maintained, and feels very safe and secure. But what made my stay truly special was the hospitality of Sebastian, the hostel manager. I always say that people make a huge difference in your travel experience, especially when it comes to hostels. And Sebastian is a perfect example of that! He was always friendly and welcoming, constantly checking if I needed anything, and even sharing his own food and wine with me! 😄 It’s people like Sebastian who turn a good hostel into a memorable experience. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! Highly recommended!

“Very disappointing stay - extremely loud noise, poor hygiene and security concerns.”
+Very disappointing stay despite the central location
−I travel frequently and have stayed in many hostels around the world, but this was one of my most disappointing experiences. I checked in at around 1 a.m. on Saturday night, and the music from the bars downstairs was incredibly loud until approximately 8 a.m. The walls and floor were literally vibrating. There were earplugs on the windowsill, suggesting that the noise might be a known issue, but they didn’t help at all. I couldn’t sleep the entire night. The room had poor ventilation, and the upper bunk was unusually high, with no proper handholds to climb down safely. Even as someone in good physical shape, I found it difficult. There was also no convenient shelf for a phone or personal belongings. The toilet had a strong smell of urine throughout my three-day stay. Most concerning was the lack of security. Both the main entrance gate and the doors to the hostel floor were constantly left open, despite having locks. I understand that staying in the city centre comes with some noise, but this was far beyond what I would consider reasonable. After years of travelling, I’ve rarely encountered so many problems in a single hostel. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and
