“Avoid”
+Nice pool
−Very disappointing experience at SBG Resort. The air conditioner barely worked , the room felt maybe 2 degrees cooler than outside, which made it extremely uncomfortable, especially at night. The restroom smelled terrible the entire stay, like mold mixed with open sewer lines. It was honestly hard to even use the bathroom because of the odor. What made the experience worse was that the gates were padlocked shut at night, so guests could not come and go freely. We were never properly informed about this beforehand, and it felt very inconvenient and restrictive. To top it off, the staff and owner were completely unhelpful when we brought up these issues. Instead of trying to resolve anything, they acted like our concerns didn’t matter. Would not recommend staying here unless major improvements are made.

And yes, I had 2 rooms booked, so that’s why this review is showing up twice. Both rooms had the same issues. Staff said the place is for sale, so I guess the owner doesn’t want to fix anything.

“Nice quiet stay in villa type setting.”
+Think small villa type hotel. Quaint, cute and out of the way, with a nice pool and garden type area with gazebos. Each of the 6 units has a small balcony with table and chairs. The rooms are decent size with mini fridge and kettle. About a 15 minute walk down to the Lambug beach area.

“Ok for 1 night”
+It was very clean and it’s run by a lovely lady. The small pool with sun loungers was nice.
−The rooms were very tired. The grounds hand not been tended. A lot more could be made of the plot with a little investment. Lambug beach, close by is sparse and everything is closed. We befriended a local tricycle driver who ferried us up and down the road. No restaurant facilities on site or close by (although you can order a takeaway to be delivered). We have experienced properties close by in the same price bracket offering a much higher standard of accomodation.
