“Highly authentic experience perfectly located in Sasso Barisano with wonderful hosting couple”
+We had the most amazing time at Sax Barisano: The flat is perfectly located in the midst of Sasso Barisano and very authentic in every regard. Comfortable and rustic feel, all amenities needed for a holiday home including small but usable kitchen. The lovely hosting couple Rosa and Aldo together with Gabriele went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home, including Aldo's transfer service from outside the Sasso zone (which cannot be accessed by car) and their hearty breakfast with local produce served each morning in a dedicated space around the corner. Communication via Whatsapp was easy and super helpful to prepare for our arrival. If you are looking for an authentic experience in Matera, look no further and spend a few nights at Sax Barisano, can only recommend.

+Everything was perfect! The accommodation was lovely, comfortable, and in an excellent location, ideal for exploring Matera. Aldo and Rosa were absolutely wonderful, incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel truly welcome. Their hospitality made our experience even more special. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

“Amazing apartment in fabuous location”
+location was amazing. Apartment was great and included many amenities such as full size refrigerator , several types of espresso makers , microwave, clothes washer, kitchen utensils, free bottled water, amazing terrace/balcony , free shuttle to and from free parking from Aldo the owner. Fabulous breakfast next door from owners Rosa and Aldo and nephew Gabriel. The apartment is decorated with amazing historical items. We cannot wait to return ! miss it already

+We loved everything about our two days with Aldo and Rosa. Our apartment was large and comfortable and perfectly situated. Breakfast was incredible! They were so friendly and welcoming. Thanks too to Aldo for helping us to park and ferrying us to and from our car.

“Heartwarming Hospitality at Sax Barisano”
+We had a wonderful stay at Sax Barisano. Aldo was incredibly kind and picked us up from the bus station when we arrived, and Rosa warmly dropped us off on the day we left. Staying at Sax Barisano truly felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was excellent, and Gabriel was always super helpful throughout our stay. The location was perfect for exploring Matera. It was a visit filled with comfort, care, and genuine hospitality, and I would happily stay here again in this cute accommodation.

“Perfect visit to Matera!”
+We had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast within the old city! Perfect location. Our hosts Aldo, Rosa, and Gabriel were welcoming and available should we need anything. Aldo was kind and generous to pick us up at the bus station. The apartment is clean, and has everything you need. It’s spacious for 2-3 people and the beds were comfortable. Keep in mind the other bed is upstairs (narrow staircase). Not an issue for me but it would not have worked for my parent. We would definitely stay here again!

+Cudowne wnętrze z duszą. Wystrój przenosi w czasie. Gospodarze wspaniali, gościnni i pomocni. Rodzinna atmosfera na śniadaniu. Wsparcie w transporcie z bezpłatnych parkingów do centrum Sassi. Cudownie to mało powiedziane. Widok przez okno na Katedrę i panoramę Sassi.

“Experiência incrível, localização e limpeza. Café da manhã espetacular.”
+É uma experiência incrível se hospedar do Sax Barisiano. Fica dentro da região dos sassis e próximo a diversas atrações. O quarto é amplo e com uma decoração bastante típica. O banheiro limpo e organizado. Tomar cuidado com a intensidade do chuveiro para não alagar. Estávamos de carro e o Sr. Aldo nos foi buscar no local que estacionamos e depois nos levou de volta, visto que o local é zona restrita. O café da manhã é espetacular, com produtos típicos, preparados na hora. Muita abundancia. Nono Aldo e Nona Rosa nos acompanharam no café, explicando sobre o café típico e sobre Matera. O neto deles (acho que era Gabriel) muito atencioso com tudo e o fotógrafo oficial. Ele quem ajuda os nonos com os turistas. Amamos esta experiência e com certeza retornaria ao local.

+Nossa experiência com o Sax Barisono foi maravilhosa Localização excelente, quarto super aconchegante, limpíssimo ...sentimos como se estivéssemos em casa O destaque está no atendimento do Sr Aldo e D Rosa, que foram muito atenciosos, carinhosos e disponíveis em relação a tudo Além disto , Gabriel, foi sempre muito prestativo e disponível Café da manhã delicioso, quitutes da D Rosa, de dar água na boca! Recomendo muito, uma experiência única.
