“Bravo”
+One of the best I have been to. The reception was the best throughout my stay. Great game drive, sunset view and very deep clear blue pool . Very clean rooms with pure white sheets.
−It need a bit of fumigation for mosquito and ants from the roof. Overall all was well.

+The lodge was quiet, beautiful and relaxing. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We only did the morning game drive which is only an house so it feels a bit rushed. Food was excellent.
−There was no complimentary water in the room or on game drive.

+Hi a special thanks to the lady in charge of hosting us (Elizabeth) she went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable.I am a little disappointed that the manager of the facility actually ignored us throughout the stay and even after i reached out to her for something.. Overall the place is spectacular..I would come back over and over again. Loved it.. Another thing..No Check in...
−Managers treatment. I asked her to arrange a game drive,she said she will come back to me,nothing happened i called her back she said she will inform us in the morning,no feedback .She simply ignored us. We were assisted by the workers themselves who ensured that we get the best experiences.She however came flying to ensure we were charged for the game drive.

+The Staff was very welcoming. They made us feel at home and made sure we were comfortable. Elizabeth and Martin our Ranger were top tier. 10/10. I also enjoyed the Sunset Game Drive, it was beautiful.

+The lodge is perfectly located. The bush gives you a tranquil feeling. The staff on the ground tried their best to make us comfortable but management was constantly letting them down. The game drive was pleasant thanks to Martin.
−The entire booking was misleading. The Bush Lodge section is under maintained; the entire Buffalo house where we stayed needs attention. The toilets were leaking and have a stench. The shower doors are old, the shower drain is blocked and you are left in a dump of water after a shower. Taps, basins, everything is old. The entire flooring of the house needs to be changed. The internet was not available as advertised and when I enquired, I was told the lodge had actually been closed since January 2026 and they stopped paying for the internet for the Buffalo unit. Most doors give trouble when trying to close them. The so called breakfast they claim to have on offer for R130 is about 5km away from the lodge and it is only prepared for guests sleeping at Thaba Khaya (wish they mentioned this beforehand) When we thought nothing else can possibly go wrong, on the evening we were out at the bonfire for a braai and the lights were not working (AGAIN maintenance issue) We stayed in the dark for over 45mins before they arranged for lighting. It felt as though they were under prepared for our stay and we constantly had to chase them for basic things. Very disappointed in the management at Thab

“Perfect Romantic breakaway”
+They really took care of us, they upgraded our room, we had a private game drive and the room was amazing!! Food was sooooo good! Cosmos was amazing guide and really passionate about his job which made the experience amazing Massages and views also stunning! Value for money and I recommend
−Aircon was not able to really cool the room it's a bit small and not alot of options for self exploring but that is all nitpicking if I am honest
