“Fantastic Japanese Experience-Ryokufuso!”
+My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Ryokufuso for three nights in July. The staff were extremely hospitable, the common areas and bedrooms were very clean. We enjoyed our traditional Japanese experience! I highly recommend this property for a Kyoto stay!

“Wonderful experience”
+We had an amazing time at Ryokufuso. It is a beautiful traditional ryokan with a lovely onsen. The Japanese breakfast was incredible and the service was above and beyond. Masa in particular helped us with various requests but all the staff were wonderful. Location is also great for visiting Kyoto as is very close to a subway.

“Beautiful Ryokan experience”
+I wanted to try a Ryokan for once and it was a beautiful experience. The staff is very friendly and the bath was relaxing. The room is very spacious, especially compared with hotel rooms in Japan. You have very much space in drawers etc. It takes a bit of adjusting to everything being on the floor, the bed, the chair and the packing you will have to do on your knees. :) The only thing I would change are the check-in and check-out times. I find 10 am check-out takes you the morning away and the check-in at 4 pm makes you wait for hours, especially when it is a one-night stay it takes much of the experience away. So I would keep that in mind, otherwise everything was in order.

“Great value, beautiful view!”
+Ryokufuso was absolutely amazing, it was a very calming place and worth every penny. The onsen was relaxing and the tatami rooms were beautiful. Make sure your hungry for dinner because it's a lot of food! The staff were all so kind and we're very helpful! Great for solo travelers but also seems fun for groups as well.

“Amazing expereince!”
+truly the best hotel we stayed at in Japan - you really get a truly authentic experience. The staff were so friendly, kind and helpful! We event got a massage one night and it was so lovely - although the breakfast is not included in the price i would recommend getting an authentic Japanese breakfast to get the full expereince!

“Lovely and relaxing stay!”
+We stayed here for a few nights and absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, calming, and very spacious. The onsen was clean and relaxing. Access to public transport was good, and there were many restaurants within a short walking distance. I would stay here again!

“so so lovely”
+Best decision of our trip! Wonderful traditional Japanese breakfast, traditional tatami room, onsen, and the staff. The rooms were quiet and clean and the 8 tatami room was a great size for two people. We originally signed up for one Japanese breakfast and one western breakfast but changed two two days of Japanese breakfast and experiencing how yummy and fun it was.

“Very family friendly”
+We lived our stay, the hospitality was so friendly and generous we would 10/10 stay here again! We travelled with our 20 month old son so we had the 4 bed tatami style room which was perfect for us, he loved having room to move and to be able to see the outside world like watch birds from the window. Staff were so accomodating and kind to us we felt very lucky to be staying in such a friendly ryokan. I loved the onsen and wish I had the time to enjoy it more! Very relaxing and a beautiful start to a busy day of sightseeing. The coffee in the lobby was so great and we thoroughly enjoyed the snacks and refreshments each afternoon. We loved walking only 5 minutes down the street to the local playground. We enjoyed the quiet area and easily caught buses from very close by. We enjoyed the supermarkets close proximity as well as the coffee shop! We would definitely stay again and will recommend to family and friends!
