“We fall in love with onsen here”
+It was our first ryokan during the Japan trip, but it felt like the ultimate place for getting a feel of living in Japanese style. The rooms smell with tatami and you can sip tea after spending whatever time you want in the private, climatic onsen. After probably 30 minutes of warm bath we get back to our room and slept like babies - I guess we need to improve our onsen-skills.

“Great little place to stay.”
+The host/owner was the most friendly & helpful person you could meet. He communicates well in English, both via email & in person. As soon as I arrived the Ryokan was explained to me & I was shown around. Then he took me for a short guided tour of the village & saw me off at the bus station making sure I got the right bus. After dinner we had a smoke & drunk some sake together discussing many topics. The outdoor onsen was my preference & I enjoyed it immensely. A smoking area is provided near the front entrance. There is a self serve guest kitchen including a fridge & washing machine. Google maps struggles in the village with many location errors. However after a short walk the first time it's easy to find your way around. There are nearby restaurants & 7/11. A slightly further walk leads you to some of the Hells Of Beppu overpriced overcrowded tourist traps. Walking around the village at night is safe & a must do to really capture the steam venting from all the drains underground.
−Can be a little hard to find when you first arrive. I knew ahead of time it's a traditional Japanese room with a futon on the tatami floor. I found the bed to be a little too firm for my liking. I regret that I couldn't stay longer.

“cosy old ryokan, was perfect for our 3 day visit”
+the 3 baths were nice, location was perfect right in the middle of numerous onsen/attractions, checking in and out was super easy, host was charming! would definitely go again

“Authentic and pleasant experience”
+Traditional Japanese-style ryokan allows for an authentic Japanese living experience. Ryokan has 3 private onsens, which were easy to access and great to enjoy. Owner was friendly and can also speak English.

“Amazing and true Japanese Ryokan experience”
+Everything was perfect. This place is a true hidden gem. The location itself is perfect, wandering in the neighborhood at night with the vapor of the hot water coming out of every hole on the ground and from some walls is truly mystical. The owner welcomed us so warmly, the place is an old Japanese house with Japanese-style rooms. Beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious. The most amazing part is the outdoor private onsen. This place has 3 private onsens, and we tried the 3rd one with a beautiful outside onsen. The onsen water is really hot, so be prepared, but after that, we slept so well. Thank you very much for this amazing stay. I will recommend this place to everyone.

“Un bon minshuku avec Onsen”
+Une chambre spacieuse facile à aérer, et surtout les onsens privatifs, dont ceux en extérieur, ; avec les yukatas inclus dans le linge de toilette. Le propriétaire est très accueillant, nous fait faire le tour du quartier, nous apporte toutes les précisions nécessaires dans un bon anglais. Environnement très calme.8
