+Our hosts Ned and Steph we’re absolutely incredible! Kind and hospitable and intentional. We loved our stay with them it was one of our favorites on our walk from Melrose to Holy Island! Rutherford House is a gem that is comfortable and welcoming.

10.0+We recieved a warm welcome. On our journey this is the first accommodation supplying cake. The room was large, offering games and books as there is no TV, not thats a negative, but to ensure a relaxed surroundings. In the village there is a lovely pub and two well stocked shops with most thins any walker needs.
−Im struggling to find anything bad to say. If being very picky, the shower cubicle could be larger.

10.0“Wonderful”
+What a wonderful guest house. Cannot praise it highly enough. Steph and Ned are super hosts, welcoming, friendly, charming, helpful and absolutely lovely. Their home is beautiful, immaculate, top class facilities. Lovely tea and coffee tray, fantastic cake waiting for us, very much appreciated after our day's hiking. This couple have got it right, they make you feel like a special guest from the minute they open the door until the minute you leave. We didn't want to leave. A fantastic stop if, like us, you are doing the St Cuthbert's Way. It was, by far, the best stay of our week. 20 out of 10 guys xx
−Absolutely nothing. Couldn't criticise anything - only heaps of praise.

10.0“One of the best BNBs we've ever stayed in.”
+Homemade cakes and biscuits on arrival were perfect at end of a long day of walking. Location was great and sun streamed into our room in the afternoon. Games and puzzles available. Hosts were incredibly helpful.
