+We loved our stay here! The location is incredible, it really is right on the beach which is amazing for the price you pay. All the staff are so lovely, helpful and responsive. The food is a highlight (don't listen to the negative reviews)! We stayed in more expensive accommodation on the island and this was just as good if not better and reasonably priced.

+Fantastic Stay - Our Favourite Location in Sumba We stayed at Rua Beach Resort and absolutely loved it. While it is officially a three-star resort, don’t let that put you off. The rooms and facilities are nice, tidy and clean, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the location is simply fantastic. For us, this stretch of Rua Beach was the best beach area we found on Sumba. Beautiful soft sand, a long sandy beach and great for swimming, including around full tide. After travelling around different parts of the island, we really appreciated just how beautiful this location is. A special mention must go to Santos, our host, who was amazing. He was always available to help and could arrange just about anything we wanted. Nothing was ever a problem. You can organise a little local fishing boat and go fishing, hire scooters or a car, arrange transport and explore the surrounding area. There are also other places nearby where you can go for meals and sunset drinks, although I would definitely recommend having some form of transport so you can explore properly. What really made Rua Beach Resort special was the atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and helpful, and it just felt

“Great location - needs work”
+The location was amazing- water front on a beach that is great for swimming and snorkelling. Surf is much smaller or non existent compared to other beaches.
−Isolation- at least 30 minutes from anything else (other than local resorts and high end restaurants). Also not a massive fan of having to plan to eat and order food from the restaurant the day or many hours before needed

+Beautiful location on a stunning beach. Comfortable rooms. Warm and friendly staff. Great food! It was nice to be next to a local village to see some of the traditional life of the Sumbanese. Our 8 y.o loved playing football on the beach with the local kids!

+Prachtige locatie. Mooie tuin. Onwijs lekker en gevarieerd gegeten. Personeel is heel erg vriendelijk. Locatie is prachtig gelegen. Verzien van juiste en een volledige hoeveelheid informatie. Fijn zwembad.
−Het personeel werkt heel hard, maar naar ons mening ook wel eens een pauze of ontspanning moment gebruiken.

+Direkt am Strand gelegen. Wunderschöner, gepflegter Garten. Ruhig. Familiäre Atmosphäre unter den Gästen. Freundliches Petsonal. Hilfsbereiter Geschäftsführer. Gutes Essen. Habe ganz besonders die Bruschetta mit selbst gebackenem Brot sehr genossen. Ich kann das Rua Beach Resort wärmstens weiter empfehlen.
