“It served its purpose.”
+I read some negative reviews before our arrival but the room was clean and tidy, all the facilities in the room worked, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good.
−Nothing that I can think of.

“Faulty Towers without Basil Faulty!”
+A nice hotel, similar to "Faulty Towers" but without Basil Faulty. Instead super friendly and helpful staff were there and helping in each and every way.
−Knowledge of local train and bus times and where the bus stops actually are would help as well as the opening times of the local tourist information would be nice. The placing of a cheap looking box near the breakfast restaurant with the wrong grammar words "Tip Box's" cheapens the lovely feeling of the place.

“Great location and friendly staff.”
+Location, onsite parking and friendly staff
−Very slow restaurant and bar service. Poor ventilation in rooms, window fixed in place and did not open.

+The staff were very friendly
−The traffic noise through the night. The very worn, flat old duvet, pillows and linen. The smell of damp in the passage outside the room. Having to carry our luggage up numerous sets of stairs, we were on the first floor but on the other side of the hotel which involved a few sets of stairs. Overall just a very old tired hotel.

“Okay value for money”
+Staff friendly and there was free pool at the bar.
−Bed was rock hard, the bathroom floor was wet and old shampoo bottle left in the bathroom, traffic was quite loud by the road and the coffee wasn’t great.

“Great location and value”
+Great location. A bit quirky as it was originally more than one building so a lot of fire doors to our room but great room with lovely view over the square. Its nice to be a bit quirky as so many hotels are too formulaic. Floorboards a bit squeaky in one place but comfy bed. Nice staff.
