“Tweaks needed”
+The staff were excellent 👌
−The lift wasn't working, bed not very comfortable and badly needs decorating. Restaurant overpriced, otherwise would have eaten there more often, bar could do with picky sharing food on the menu.people don't always want formal eating ( I have Parkinson’s!!!! ) so finger is essential in the evening when tired. Hope this helps. Having said all of this if the lift is fixed i would definitely come again for the ambiance and the staff.

“Terrific”
+The staff were all so friendly and professional and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had all we needed.
−The only thing was outside roadworks that couldn’t be helped - this didn’t deter from our stay.

“Very enjoyable indeed.”
+The room was lovely if small, but we did not worry as it was very private and not overlooked. Everything was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazingly delicious.
−The only issue we found was that the hot water was very slow at coming through to the sink tap and the shower, but there is a note in bathroom explaining that so we understood. There must be a lot of water wastage due to the time it takes to be warm enough to shower.

−The common areas are run down. The only lift didn't work. The reception area is shabby. Not a great hotel, would not recommend and it was expensive for the standard prov

“Bath hotel”
+The only saving grace for this hotel was it's front desk manager. Tall gentleman, unfortunately we didn't get his name. He sorted us nicely for a 3 hours wait just to check in and was quick to get us a desk fan for the paint smell and fumes inside the room. Thank you dear Manager.
−Lift not working. Plenty of stairs with heavy suitcases don't make for a good stay. It was also incredibly hot and stuffy inside the room. We had a desk fan brought in and it still wasn't cool enough. Check in was 3 hours late due to some maintenance work. We had to sit on the bar for those 3 hours with our luggage. Not pleasant.

“Thank you for your hospitality. Highly recommend”
+Pleasant and efficient staff. Warmly greeted at checkin. Hotel room very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Outstanding service from man who worked in the bar. Fabulous location - across the road from station and only 5 min walk into town centre. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.
−Disappointed the lift was not working. Going on other reviews this seems to be an ongoing issue and if you have heavy luggage it will be a problem. I was only on the first floor, but after a long day of walking I would have appreciated the lift. If it wasn’t for the lift not working I would have awarded this property outstanding on all points.
