“Wonderful Inn, great location, good breakfast”
+The Rosemount Inn in a lovely historic home, turned bed and breakfast and then Inn. The rooms are cozy, bathrooms beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast (and evening cookie) was wonderful addition.
−Unfortunately the day prior to our arrival we were notified that construction would be occurring outside the Inn. Construction gates, a large lift, and access noise happened during our whole stay. We also had to ask multiple times to have our air conditioning turned back on (the windows aren't accessible and the hot autumn sun heated our back top floor room every evening). The parking lot is incredibly small (essentially just a large driveway).

+The Inn was interesting in so much as it is a magnificent building with delightful gardens. I am not clear who it was that we were greeted by....owner/manager/staff member.....not sure, but it was short and sweet. Found our rooms (upstairs, no lift, so that was an effort as we were away for 6 weeks, so had considerable luggage - not something I had factored in when booking). The room was pleasant and a good size. The bathroom was small but clean and well appointed.
−Not sure we felt particularly welcomed. That maybe an unfair statement, or not, as we have not stayed at accommodation like this before, so perhaps its a case of being 'left in peace' but it did feel a little strange.

“Fantastic location. Little to no parking, little to no breakfast, not comfortable.”
+The location is fantastic.
−No parking available, had to manage with street parking. Breakfast buffet was essentially empty, only breakfast sandwiches, which were good. No coffee other than americano. The staff described the buffet which was funny as it was empty (there were minuscule pieces of scones left, jam plate was empty, there was nothing in the waffle thing, no croissants, ...). The bed needs to be changed, it is old and sagging, and way to soft. There was no sitting area in the room, other than an antique chair. Shower did not work very well, needs to be updated. Quite disappointing overall.

+Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I have dietary requirements and they provided a range of options suitable for the complimentary breakfast. Gorgeous heritage property, styled beautifully and really lets you switch off.

+An absolutely beautiful property. It was lovely to experience such a vintage property in Kingston. The decor of the room was fabulous. The chef was super friendly, providing a very nice breakfast and catered for me as a vegetarian. He left coffee out for us to enjoy in the lounge.
−The person who met us initially was unwelcoming, brusque and abrupt and not a good advertisement for what is an expensive upmarket property. She didn't make any effort to be friendly at all and this continued into the next morning. What a shame
