“it’s technically a hotel, and is likely not going to collapse on you, but maybe don’t stay if you value your sanity”
+no bedbugs! granite shower surround
−no smoke detector in room, exposed fire sprinkler piping in washroom, exposed network cable, dated fixtures, missing handles on wardrobe, the hinge pins in the washroom door were replaced at some point with deck screws, the extractor fan rattled quite loudly, sink was cracked, only two pillows on bed, switch plate in washroom not attached properly, and was nearly in the shower, security camera wiring exposed and obviously not secure, fire door latches broken

“It was the worst hotel stay in my life. Staff was friendly however.”
+I didn’t like anything.
−Everything. I had to change rooms twice due to an unknown substance dried onto the nightstand. It looked like the room was not cleaned in months. Besides the bed being made with sheets that probably hadn’t been washed in weeks. There was stains all over the walls. Hair in the bed along with bugs crawling all over the floor. My coworker was in a different room and his sheets had blood all over them. I had slept in my truck.

“It’s slightly less than ok.”
+Food was hot, clerk was friendly.
−Kinda gross. Water jugs may as well have goldfish inside.

“Looks nice, but inside is filthy.”
+This place looks really respectable from the outside. It is not!
−Police showing up, lots of loud partiers even during the work week. Filthy on the inside. Dried vomit by the elevator…. There when I arrived, still there when I left. Smells like BO and urine. Sticky/greasy/ dirty shower floor. Toenails on the carpet (one poked my foot and that was when I realized… gross) … ripped mattress, cigarette burn on the sheet. Headboard with nasty smudges and random “goo” dried on…. Gag. Obviously running a vacuum cleaner on a visibly dirty carpet was far too much to ask. I stayed in 3 different rooms during my 3 week stay and that’s all I could handle. I’m paying more to go somewhere else. $90 for a room plus a $150 deposit? Weird…
