“Beautiful, but Lacking Attention to Detail”
+A day before our arrival, we received a very friendly message with check-in information and an offer to use the property’s restaurant service for dinner, which was a thoughtful touch. The property is located within a gated residential area with controlled security access, in a truly privileged and beautiful setting. There is outdoor parking available for approximately five or six cars.k Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a member of staff with two glasses of champagne, which was a lovely gesture. She showed us around the house and escorted us to our room, located on the lower-ground floor. Guests should be aware that there is no lift. Both the house and our room were beautifully decorated, with elegant furnishings and a sophisticated atmosphere. Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Although the selection remains the same each day, it offers the essentials and is perfectly adequate. The highlight is undoubtedly the stunning view from the breakfast area, which makes for a lovely start to the day.
−My comments are based on the fact that this property presents itself as a five-star establishment, which naturally creates certain expectations regarding comfort, attention to detail and service. Unfortunately, despite its beautiful appearance, several aspects of our stay fell short of those expectations. Room amenities and practicality To begin with, there was no hand towel in the bathroom, and only one medium-sized towel was provided per person. The waste bins were very small and had no liners. Although the bedroom and bathroom were elegantly decorated, neither was particularly practical. There was insufficient space to place toiletries, personal belongings or luggage. The duvet cover had faulty fastenings and would not stay closed, causing the duvet to slip out. The chairs on the small private terrace were noticeably faded and worn, making the outdoor space rather uninviting. Being located on the lower-ground floor, the room felt cool and somewhat damp. There was no air conditioning, only a fan and a small portable heater. There was also no television. To be fair, this is clearly stated in the Booking.com description, so it was not a surprise, but I still feel it is something on

“This villa exceed our expectation!”
+We only stayed for one night, but Roman's Villa exceed our expectation! From the friendliness of the staff to the most comfortable bed and beautiful amenities! Outdoor deck is beautiful and you can spot whales in the morning. Highly recommend to eat at their dining room for dinner and breakfast. They prepare gourmet/local style cuisine. So delicious! It made us very relaxed and comfortable. Also a great place to connect with other travelers. We wish we could have stay longer!

“Romans Villa's fascinating decor and magical view took my breath away.”
+Romans Villa has the most beautiful ocean view in the entire Southern Hemisphere. The vastness of it is priceless. The decor is artsy and loaded with surprises...just like Nynke. The purple room is a "must see".
−The stairs leading to the purple room feel unstable and steep.
