“So welcoming!”
+Devi is de sweetest host and a great conversationalist, who makes you feel at home right away. She prepares a different and tasty breakfast every day. Her home, the cottages and the garden are super cozy. The pets are friendly towards strangers.

“Good position great views. Worth staying”
+Great spot easy walk to waterfall. Breakfast good and hot water available just bring own coffee tea bags.
−You would need your own transport to find a place to eat.small local shop to buy biscuits or pack of noodles. Owners might cook something up for you. Dogs barking throughout the day and night.

“Great conversation, food, puppies and kittens, but run down.”
+I want to make this an honest review as this place is unusual and if you come expecting it to be perfect, you will be disappointed. Devi is an exceptional host. She is a professor of agriculture at a local university and her passion for the natural world is evident throughout the homestead. She is a thoughtful and excellent cook - her homemade pizza is something else, with a light and crispy base, as is her homemade bread. She is an interesting conversationalist - spend sometime talking with her and find out about Muslim culture, local and national politics, thoughts, beliefs and traditions. The place is clean and it is ramshackle and in need of repair. It’s basic, but within the (lower) average range of other places I’ve stayed in across Sumatra in this price bracket. The toilet seat is not fixed to the toilet, the mattress is memory foam and heavily sagging on one side (sleep on the other side). The animals are well cared for; while the adult dogs are tied up when Devi’s husband isn’t around (from what I could tell), they have kennels the size of small houses. I always find it distressing to see birds in cages and I recognise that this is usual practice throughout SE Asia, as it

“LOVED THE PLACE”
+Loved the place. Everything was wonderful about the stay. The owners Devi and Ari were great, spent a lot of time chatting and laughing with Devi. Couldn't recommend the place more highly.

“Good stay if you are looking for quite & attach with nature.”
+When I am choosing the accommodation, I am preferred local/ kampung vibe. So this stay up to my expectation. Devi and her husband Ari is very good host & owner. We received warm welcome from both of them and feel like home. Most of the plants & tree around the stay eatable & the couple planted it by themself. We got plenty info about the plants as well :). Good stay & will stay there again once we come back.

+Devi und Ari sind einfach sehr herzliche Persönlichkeiten. Egal ob es darum geht den Tag zu planen, einen Transfer zu organsieren oder den nächste Kopi zu trinken, die zwei sind immer ansprechbar. Besonders lohnenswert - Devi's self made Pizza und Sauerteigbrot. Nach 2 Wochen Nasi Goreng ein echtes Geschmackshighlight. Danke ihr zwei 🙂
