“Quintessential Marrakech Sanctuary with outstanding service from Ibrahim and Abdel”
+Riad Zouhour is located in an up market quarter of the Medina. It is easy to navigate to the Riad from nearby Bab Lakksour, just follow the straight road and then left into the residential area. Good for logistics in and out, which is important. The location is well placed for some of the nearby monuments including the secret garden and the Bachia cafe. Jmaa El-Fnaa is also a simple 10min walk, 10mins to everywhere really. Riad Zouhour has an open air courtyard which feels lush and vibrant. There is also a great rooftop area with a viewing platform and pool if you'd prefer to relax there. The garden environment was quintessentially Marrakesh, at least in my opinion. The property has an on site kitchen and staff. If we had a little more time we would have taken dinner or lunch here and chilled out more in the Riad, that's just how it goes for a time poor working traveller. I would actually suggest skipping the highly touristic monuments with lines and people everywhere (Bahia Palace and Ben Yousef in looking at you) and just soak it up in the Riad, nothing wrong with that. Returning after a hot day bashing with streets was revitalising. We were fortunate to stay in what I would call
−It was perfect

+Zouhour has a great location in the Medina, about 7 minutes to the main gate and 7 minutes to the square. Carrying luggage into the Medina is a bit tricky, but the hotel kindly arranged a porter for us. The riad is spotless, relaxing, and features lush greenery and a wonderful rooftop garden. I really enjoyed having the rooftop pool to myself during the quiet summer low season. Our room was clean, comfy, and nicely furnished, though its long layout meant a long walk to the bathroom! Having breakfast on the rooftop was a highlight. The selection wasn't huge, and there were a few curious bees around, but overall it was a great experience.
