+We did not have breakfast. Loved the tub and the hospitality..
−The ‘streets’ did not have names it was a little hard finding our way back from the market.. but I loved it otherwise.

+Hi, I did not have any meals as you need to book everything at least 24 hours in advance, not too convenient, particularly for breakfast. The staff were professional but they did get my booking for the transfer to the airport wrong and have yet to refund me the 25 Euros. I spoke with the manager and he said that they would get in touch with me. They did not and I am afraid I will have to chase them, which is unfair. The place is beautiful, peaceful and the bedroom where I stayed was perfect and comfortable.

“Not adviseble”
−First, we were sent to the wrong riad where we were helped getting a parking spot. Back at the riad, there was no reservation in our name. The text messages we received from the Ylha riad told us to go to that particularly riad and even sent us the phone number or the manager there. It took multiple phonecalls to figure out the situation and a long time for the Riad Ylha employee to pick us up. In the riad, we were asked what time we wanted breakfast, not if we wanted to have so. It appeared not to be included and would cost us €11 each. €11 for a very poor breakfast (regular Moroccan breakfast with extra tomatoes and avocado on the side). We discussed the situation with one of the staff members, after which we were treathened by the owner/manager calling the police if we didn’t pay. This is not how you treat your guests and therefore we would not recommend this riad to anyone. All in all, bad communication. Choose wisely and pick a different riad (with breakfast included) if you can!

“Lovely staff but room was average and very cold”
+The staff were brilliant and very welcoming and very responsive in WhatsApp to help us book Hammam and taxis.
−The room could have been better, firstly it was SO dark in the room you can barely see anything The room was cold (we went in December) there was a small heater but it was still very cold, we brought a hot water bottle from home The shower/bath situation - the bath tub has a shower head but it is made of metal so gets boiling hot when you use hot water so you cannot hold it. We worked around this by wrapping it in a towel to use

+The facilities were really nice, very cosy and calming. The decoration was very minimalist and refined. The staff, especially Tibout was incredibly nice and helpful which made the stay 10 times more enjoyable.

“Splendido riad nel cuore della Medina”
+il riad è molto bello, arredato con gusto e molto silenzioso. La camera era spaziosa e curata, e il personale sempre molto attento e gentile. Un posto davvero piacevole in cui soggiornare a Marrakech!

“Oase van rust in de stad”
+Heerlijke oase van rust in de stad. Vriendelijk personeel, al spreekt de aanwezige staff (muv 1 man) geen woord Engels. De kamer is ruim en heel netjes. Elke dag schoonmaken en nieuwe handdoeken. Fijn rustig terras boven. Locatie is goed. Er zijn veel restaurants op loopafstand en ook de vele winkeltjes zijn om de hoek.
−Bedden liggen erg hard. Ontbijt kan alleen genuttigd worden als je daar een dag van tevoren om vraagt (wel heel goed en uitgebreid ontbijt). We misten wat haakjes om spullen aan op te hangen.
