“A charming little riad, fabulous shower and a great local Medina location!”
+A charming little riad, fabulous shower and a great local Medina location! We really enjoyed our stay at Riad Soultan, a small, characterful boutique riad with just five rooms, tucked away in a more residential part of the Fes Medina. We particularly loved the location, surrounded by everyday Moroccan life rather than endless tourist souvenir stalls. A great base for experiencing a more authentic side of Fes. Our room was full of Moroccan character, with exposed wooden beams, traditional carpets and beautiful stained-glass windows. The large bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was hands down the best we'd experienced in two weeks travelling around Morocco , piping hot water and fantastic pressure! The rooftop terrace is another highlight, with lovely sofas where breakfast is served and wonderful views at sunrise and sunset. Some of the rooftop chairs have definitely seen better days and could do with replacing, but it's a fabulous spot to relax above the Medina. Breakfast was plentiful, with Moroccan breads, pancakes, jams, omelettes, juice, tea and coffee. A lovely way to start the day. It's worth knowing that this is a small, Airbnb-style riad rather than a conventiona
