6.0+The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. Very helpful. The Riad was literally in the middle of the market.
−I didn't like how close the mosque was to the riad because of the early morning prayers. Quite loud. But it's only in the early morning.

7.0“Good stay but could be improved. A lot of stairs!”
+We had a pleasant stay in this dar (we learned on a guided tour thay it is not actually a real riad). The room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The bed was made daily, fresh towels were provided every two days, and there was always hot water. The hosts were friendly, although a different person seemed to be on duty each day. Breakfast was sufficient, mainly consisting of bread, msemen and baghrir with sweet spreads, with an omelette available if you like. We were only served coffee, although one day other guests were offered tea. Communication about borrowing an iron was confusing. Initially, we were told that irons were no longer lent to guests due to a previous incident, and that ironing was available for an extra fee. We eventually gave up asking, but surprisingly received an iron the day before departure. It was a nice gesture, although a little late. A few things are worth considering. The staircases are narrow, and we had to carry our luggage up to the second floor. The host did not offer to help, which was disappointing. Keep this in mind if you have heavy luggage or limited mobility, especially if your room is on a higher floor. The room has small windows so outsid
−Many narrow stairs to climb and no help with the luggage, outside noise, old A/C with dripping water, issues with arranging an iron, weak hairdryer. The breakfast could be more savoury, cheese, veggies etc.

9.0“We have a very nice time at Riad Sahraui! The rooms were nice nice and spacious and the location was perfect. We enjoyed”
+Great location and very specious rooms. Nice terrace and breakfast variety. I liked the 24/7 staffing which felt more space. The staff answered all of our questions and were very kind
−It didn’t bother us, but those who are light sleepers should be aware that the Riad is very close to a mosque and we would hear the call to prayer around 4:30am each morning.

4.0+The location and the view from the rooftop are absolutely fantastic!
−Unfortunately, our stay at Riad Sahraoui was disappointing. The room had a strong smell of dampness and mould, which made our stay quite uncomfortable. The cleanliness was also below expectations, and the room did not feel properly maintained. Another unpleasant surprise was being charged extra for paying by card. These additional charges were not clearly communicated, especially considering the payment and fee information provided on Booking.com. Although the location and rooftop view were fantastic, the poor cleanliness, unpleasant smell and unexpected extra charges really affected our overall experience. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves the conditions for future guests.

6.0+Authenticity Location Salma was very helpful on arrival but unfortunately wasn't there for our whole stay
−We didn't get our second morning breakfast to go. For the morning we did, the breakfast was lacking compared to other riads we stayed at. The shower gel felt like dishwasher liquid. Very disappointing as the riad was in a medina full of far superior products. Plugs and some lamps weren't working.

10.0+The Riad was in a really good location, with lots of markets nearby. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they were always happy to help. One of the ladies even bought us some coffee beans for us when we asked where we could get some from, which was very kind. The staff were very helpful in making sure we could eat the breakfast and dinner safely with a nut allergy. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

10.0+Our stay was wonderful! Salma was a very kind and welcoming host who helped us with everything we needed. I loved the decoration, and the place was beautiful for taking photos. The location in the Medina was also a big plus, as the entrance is right on the main street, so you don’t have to navigate narrow, quiet alleys to get there. This is especially convenient in Fes, where the Medina is huge and very easy to get lost in. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would happily recommend this place!
−I loved everything about our stay! As a small suggestion, providing slippers and better-quality shampoo and body wash would make the experience even more perfect.
