2.0“Do not stay here!”
+Do not stay here. We booked through wowcher mystery holiday deal. No wonder it's a mystery people would not choose to stay here otherwise. The "hotel" itself (if you could call it that I'd more describe it as a dungeon!) Was in a very unsafe area. We couldn't find it and a local said he would help then when we got there was intimidating and demanded money. We then got into the hotel and was shown to our room which locked with a padlock and didn't even have a window. The room was dark, dingy, smelly, horrible beds and bedding and was not clean. There were no amenities in the hotel and our shower wouldn't even stay up on the wall we had to hold it to wash ourselves. There was no soap or shower gel. We couldn't get any wifi it didn't work. We heard the manager constantly arguing with staff and even got woke up early one morning with them arguing. The manager also asked a young boy to help us find a place we had to meet a tour guide and this young boy also then demanded money. As soon as we arrived we wanted to go home the whole experience was traumatising.

2.0“AWFUL!!!!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
+List of things we were supposed to have: Toiletries? Not even a bar of soap Hotel restaurant? 2 tables downstairs on a patio area inside, no menu's. Cable TV? No TV whatsoever Towel menu? Same towel all week, could have sand papered with it. Pillow menu? Just 1 extremely lumpy uncomfortable pillow Bar? Alcohol? Only for the alcoholic owner! Bell boy service? My sides are hurting from laughing at this! Local bars? None, it's a Muslim country. Wi-Fi didn't work. Ironing set? What? Carpeted floors? Thread bare old rugs Adjustable air con? Not adjustable, kept on very low and in 38 degrees heat? Not exactly comfortable Safety deposit box? None, not even a lock on our door! Car hire? Didn't see this or the bicycle hire 24 hour security? We needed it, all the fighting and arguing going on between the owner and his son late at night! One afternoon 3 extremely large black men shouting and threatening with the owner, we were quite scared, couldn't understand what they were saying, we stayed in our room. Air con in public areas, the only public areas were the rooms, all 5 of them and the tiny patio area called the restaurant with 2 tables, no air con, uncomfortable breakfast time. Fireplace?

2.0“Not recommended”
+The buildings beautiful, but a worrying late-night argument, involving the brandishing of a knife, between the establishment staff, was extremely concerning. This was witnessed and recorded by other guests. I heard the noise, but did not witness. The owner also attempted to charge two guests 45 Dirham, or approximately £4.50, for a bottle of water. No room tea or coffee making facilities were available.

2.0“Just don’t go to stop there please avoid !!!!!!!!”
+So the owner is a con man and his co worker are together drunks, they do nothing to help you, only interested in ripping tourists off….. they have no facilities available when you ask, no hairdryer or iron…. On our last night we were awoken at 1 am to the joys of the owner and his assistant fighting down below with a huge 12 inch kitchen knife showing there privates to each other in some sort of male intimidation, felt really unsafe and the other guests had only just arrived that afternoon…. It’s is situated in the dirtiest of places, full of poo and piss everywhere, it stinks like one massive toilet everywhere you go, motorcycles skim you down these tiny alleys, full of locals who will pickpocket and try to get money off you….. Dirty cats everywhere strewn these alleys and it’s virtually impossible to navigate as it all looks the same. No one spoke English it’s either French or Arabic, the place is not cheap for such a trampy place either, everyone wants to rip you off….. We would never return to this hell of a dive and I can’t warn you enough to avoid these places you will want to leave straight away and I wish we had, if your wondering why we booked such a place then the answer

10.0“Beautiful place”
+If you are looking for a very quiet place with no Tv and no extras like hairdryer or soap then the place is for you . Very basic but beautiful. Right in the centre of Marrakesh. Lovely people and beautiful place. Probably not for everyone but all depends on what you want . Was good enough for us and we would stay there again . Looking to book my next trip there in the same place . Lovely people and there is no hustles with checking in and out at this place . Very welcoming.

2.0“Avoid avoid avoid”
+If you want an authentic, live like a local type experience I’m sure this place may be for you. Personally, we wanted to experience a traditional riad in Marrakech but this place is very run down, the rooms felt damp, no soap in the bathroom, towels were dry and crusty, the bathroom was dark and dingy, the riad is 400 years old and felt like it- no work had been done on the place in this time. The surrounding area is horrendous and felt unsafe - takes multiple dodgy back alleys to get back to the riad from medina. The only positive to this place is the owner who was very hospitable and friendly. Unfortunately, this place ruined our trip and we lasted approx 30 mins here before we used the wifi to find another riad and left. You can find other riads which are well kept but still traditional and authentic, closer to the medina for a fractionally higher cost. My advice? Don’t stay here.

10.0“Authentic Marakesh”
+This is just a wonderful place to stay if you want an authentic Moroccan experience. The Riad is basic compared to a modern hotel but that is it's charm, its real. You are made to feel like a part of the family, nothing is to much trouble. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The food on the evening meal menu is just just mouth wateringly good, cooked fresh just for you. The location in the back passages is a little difficult the first time but is actually quite simple once you know. In conclusion if you want a luxury hotel then it's not for you but if you want to experience something genuine and authentic then this is the place to stay, it's just amazing.

10.0“Authentic Marrakech in all its glory.”
+If you're looking for the luxury tourist experience, this isn't it. If you want to experience the authentic vibrancy of a bustling, exciting city from the very heart of the action - book this hotel. We absolutely loved our trip to Marrakech. We loved where the Riad was situated, right in the middle of a busy residential area. We learned to follow the maze of alleyways, through street after street of colourful market stalls, jostling with scooters (some carrying the whole family), donkeys, tok-toks, trucks, locals and tourists, all the way to the Square. The sights, sounds and smells of the city are an assault to the senses in the best way. Mountains of dates, veg, sticky pastries, Aladdin's lamps, crockery, spices and goat heads piled on tables, or even on rugs on the ground. A rhythmic boom of Moroccan drums, the wail of the snake-charmers' pipe and the regular call to prayer from the minarets mingle with the chatter of the crowds. The smells of incense burning, tagines cooking and the abundance of herbs and spices for sale make it a truly immersive experience. The local people were friendly, welcoming and keen to make a few dirham. Aouad and his team were helpful and gracious. Ri
