10.0“Comfortable, friendly, in good location”
+Location was good and close to the markets, some of the popular sites and a few restaurants. Breakfast was OK and light. The staff was amazing and riad was very clean. Youssef in particular was a gem! He was informative, friendly, and took great care of us.
−I didn't love that there was no TV on the property. It was ultimately fine because we had wifi and could watch on our mobile devices. But it would've been a nice addition but not enough of an issue to downgrade my rating. We had a good stay.

10.0“Amazing, kind and welcoming staff in a beautiful setting”
+Riad Azahar is a true oasis in Marrakech and is highly recommended. The airport transfer was smooth, and upon arrival I was welcomed by Youssef with mint tea and homemade cookies. Youssef provided an invaluable introduction to Marrakech, sharing a brief history of the city along with an orientation and map, which was a wonderful way to begin the trip. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and lovely toiletries in the large bathroom. The riad itself is stunning and the rooftop is fabulous. The plunge pool is the perfect place to relax and watch the sunset after a day of exploring. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and different every day. It was always accompanied by a large pot of coffee, making it the perfect start to the morning. As a solo female traveler, I felt welcomed, safe and very well cared for throughout my stay. When returning late at night, Hassan would meet me at the taxi drop-off point and walk me back to the riad. Ishmael and Roberto were also incredibly kind and no request was ever too much trouble. Riad Azahar truly felt like a home away from home and I would not hesitate to stay there again on a future visit t
−The location is down a few alleyways and is not accessible via taxi/ car. It is easy to navigate to from the main streets due to the through instructions from the kind Riad staff and when coming back late at night, the staff were always willing to come to meet me on the main street where the taxi would drop off (near the Bahia Palace) and accompany me back on the short walk to the Raid.

10.0“Beautiful Riad, amazing staff, the best stay!!!”
+Lovely stay!! Super clean and very nicely decorated Riad and room. Everywhere was spotless and beautiful, making our stay very comfortable. The rooftop upstairs is wonderfully decorated with plants and has both an exposed and covered section, and a pool that lights up! Extremely attentive, friendly and helpful staff (namely Youssef and Hassan, and the cleaners) made us feel at ease during our first trip to Marrakech. Youssef helped us draw up a map of recommendations around Marrakech, and made sure we had what we needed. The owner Roberto was also very welcoming and made sure we enjoyed the Riad to the fullest! Everyone here went the extra mile, the cleaner even folded our pyjamas for us :) The location is great too, being around 5mins from Place Mellah, which was a convenient pickup point for many of our excursions. This Riad was a little safe haven after returning from the busy streets of Marrakech. Thank you for a lovely stay guys :)

10.0“Absolutely lovely oasis away from the madness of the Medina with staff that really takes care of you”
+Riad Azahar was a gorgeous oasis tucked away from the noisy and chaotic Medina. Only a 10 minute walk from the crazy and sensual overload of Djemaa el-Fnaa, Riad Azahar felt like a million miles away. Maybe the only thing better than the Riad itself was the staff - Yusef, Ismael, and Simo were all absolutely delightful and super helpful. Between them, and Roberto (the proprietor) and the housekeeping and kitchen staff, I felt very taken care of, and very safe. Breakfast each morning was superb! I would stay at Riad Azahar again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend it to anyone wishing to vising Marrakesh.
−While it was nicely tucked away from the crazy Medina, it was pretty hard to find. Luckily, Simo met us at the square where our taxi dropped us off. Still, a bit hard to find on our own, though I admit to being directionally challenged!

10.0“Fantastic Riad with very comfortable rooms and friendly staff, as well as great food offered.”
+The Riad, the staff, and the experience was superb. We were a bit concerned about some negative comments which included some complaints about noise, location, the riad itself. The complaints, in our opinion, are completely unfounded... how is there going to be any noise when the street is a tertiary street, away from the hustle and bustle? The staff were very welcoming, very attentive and friendly. The room was perfect, and so were the rest of facilities. The dinner offer was excellent, and having the little pool at the top was a fantastic add-on to cool off on the high heat summer days. If we go back to Marrakech definitely we will go back.
−Unfortunately the 2023 earthquake has affected the nearby properties significantly, so that means that some ruined properties are still under the rubble, and in some cases there's garbage accumulating in the ruins. Some of the ruined properties are used by marginal people, which can feel a bit eerie. Hopefully the restoration of the ruined properties advances and the streets can recover their full functionality.

9.0“Home from home”
+We often hear the phrase “a home from home” but nothing could be more apt for this amazing Riad. Lovingly restored with attention to detail you’d think this was enough but on top of this there is an amazing team behind it who welcome you with open arms. Having visited Morocco multiple times, this Riad is the one I felt was a second home and will come back to again. Great terrace too including a small Hamam and plunge pool. Thank you for an amazing stay
