“While we genuinely appreciate the management’s subsequent efforts to compensate us, these gestures should not have been”
+The resort itself is beautiful, with impressive surroundings and facilities. Following our complaints, the management did make a genuine effort to recover the situation. They offered us an ocean-view suite for our final night, which we declined as it was too late in our stay to make a move worthwhile. They also arranged complimentary return transportation to Seminyak and extended our checkout until 8 PM at no charge. Following another disappointing food experience at R Café, the hotel also provided a complimentary meal the following day. We appreciated these gestures and the management’s willingness to acknowledge and address our concerns.
−Unfortunately, the overall experience fell considerably short of what we expected from a five-star Renaissance property, particularly as Marriott Bonvoy members. Despite requesting a better room or complimentary upgrade before arrival, we were allocated a basic standard room with two single beds. While this was technically the booked category, the wording around the bedding configuration was confusing, and there appeared to be little consideration of our request. The problems continued with our early-morning packed breakfast. The Mie Goreng was extremely dry and difficult to eat. Juices were packed in paper cups that leaked into the breakfast boxes, spoiling the food. Worse, despite specifically requesting no mushrooms in our sandwich, mushrooms were included. Such basic failures in food preparation, packaging and attention to dietary instructions are unacceptable at a hotel of this standard. Our shower also had a faulty temperature control, providing either hot or excessively hot water, with no comfortable adjustment. −View from the room wasn’t very nice to . Distance into Uluwatu was 30-40 mins every time. Made it hard to explore.

“A fabulous resort to celebrate some birthdays and to unwind and relax.”
+This is our second time staying at the resort and it did not disappoint. The breakfast buffet and the staff are the highlight of the resort. Our little one really enjoyed the kids club and the kids pool so much she didn’t want to leave. There are so many activities and classes the resort offers, the boxing and yoga were really good.
−Traveling with a toddler this time around we found the location to not be easiest base for exploring. Compared to a few years ago traffic in Uluwatu is a lot busier, traveling by car sometimes took over 20mins to get into Uluwatu town where the shops and restaurants are.

“Phenomenal stay!”
+The staff was amazing, very polite, knowledgeable and helpful with everything I needed. They went above and beyond to help me celebrate my special occasion. I enjoyed the amenities. The gym was clean and equipped, and the pools were fantastic! The breakfast buffet was delicious as well! There were also activities you could sign up for, like a stretching class and pottery making.

+I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The hospitality was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their kindness and attention to detail made our stay truly comfortable and memorable. The location is excellent, making it convenient to explore the surrounding area and enjoy nearby attractions. The overall experience was fantastic, from the warm welcome to the outstanding service throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great hospitality, a convenient location, and a comfortable stay. I would definitely love to return!

+We had a wonderful stay at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa. The resort is beautiful, our room was decorated for our anniversary. The balcony overlooking the swimming pool and the sea was lovely, and the facilities were excellent. A special thank you to Simon, who looked after us exceptionally well and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We enjoyed chatting with him about fishing over breakfast, and I hope he can show me some good fishing spots when we return!
