“Nice place! Might come again.”
+Perfectly organised, good breakfast, friendly hosts. Restaurant opposite was closed on Monday, but there was a mobile Pizza baker on the spot -- very delicious.
−Without a mobile phone (or even without a smartphone), travellers will be in difficulty. It might be a solution to set up a phone at the location for calling (only) the hosts when absent?

“It was our second visit and we would come again if in the area. We appreciated the high standards throughout and the che”
+The whole setup from self entry through to the friendly farewell. The property is finished to a very high standard and well equipped throughout. We really appreciated the drying room equipped with washing machine and dry, boot rack drier and hanging rail for wet clothes. We were walking the Pennine Way so the location was perfect. Whilst there was no evening food there was a pub across the green that was excellent.
−The only one thing that sounds trivial but as it detracted from a good nights sleep worth a mention. The small LED in the smoke/fire detector was extremely bright creating a twilight within the room.

“Would love to come back.”
+The location was perfect as we were walking the Pennine Way. We got an evening meal in the pub straight across the road. The decor was lovely and the art deco style lounge. Recognised the stairway from the old YH. Great breakfast, thought the whole place was fabulous.
−Not sure that I found anything on the website about breakfast being available, only new by peoples reviews.

“Emergency number does not work when you need it.”
+Very pleasant housekeeper. Good breakfast and lovely garden.
−The building is not staffed after 1500. We let ourselves in and found the bedroom unacceptably cold.. I phoned the emergency number but could only leave a message. The pub oposite phoned the owner who came to Redstones and remedied the situation. He spoke to us at the pub. The phone reception in Dufton is so poor that we did not get replies to our messages on the emergency number until we went to Apleby.

+I think you should be able too pay for a buffet or a cooked breakfast separate ie fried breakfast £10 or buffet £10 and not have to have both for £20

“Beautiful Stay at Redstones”
+We stayed at Redstones as we were attending a wedding close by. The lady who greeted us in the morning was lovely and gave us information about taxi services and wished us a great day. The venue is beautiful. It is exceptionally clean and inviting. We had Room 9 which led out into the garden via patio doors, it was such a nice view to wake up to. We would recommend this venue to anyone staying in the area. Also, the bed was so comfy, we had such a good night's sleep.
−No complaints at all.
