+The location is good, the rooms are somewhat spacious and the people at reception are incredibly friendly. If not for them, this place would have received a worse review.
−I specifically booked the rainbow hostel (and not waikiki) because it had good reviews, whereas the reviews at waikiki were fairly bad. Turns out, they‘re the same hostel, and both could still be booked at the time. When asked about this they just told me that they are changing the name. Further I had things from the ceiling dropping on my bed. They organized me another room, but that also meant that I had to change the room for my 2 night stay because they were otherwise fully booked and so I had to check out again and wait for my new bed to be ready. I asked for a discount for the hassle, but never received anything back. Wifi wasn‘t working in the second room and was generally quite patchy. Depending on the other guests unfortunately almost the whole rooftop terrace smells like cigarette smoke. As a non smoker it‘s not the nicest place to hang out.

+Lovely staff (everyone at the reception I talked to, Susan, Angie and Oscar), nice and decent value brekky, really good location within 2 blocks of an ocean view. Plus Anouk, the adorable hostel dog!
−The mattress was a bit soft and no AC in the dorm meant it would get quite warm at night

“I didn't like anything.”
+I didn't like anything.
−They moved the hostel to a different location and left my things behind,my food and a pair of headphones were left at the other place. I asked if I could go pick them up, but they didn't even reply; it was as if they were fleeing from the police. I do not recommend this establishment for accommodation.
