“Worst customer service”

−They closed the hostel and no one informed me. I had to find a different place to stay last min and had to run up and down ella. A msg from them would have helped me plan and look for alternates

“Great place for a short stay.”
+Definitely Great place for a short stay. It's close to the bus station, making it easy to connect with the city. Renting a scooter from here was very convenient and helped a lot. I was able to complete my Ella tour in just two days,exploring all the main spots was simple and easy with the scooter.
−However, I really struggled to sleep at night due to the noise from vehicles. The property is located near a bend on the main road, so drivers keep honking, which can be quite disturbing.

“Superb”
+The place is not ideal, but staying there is very cheap and it offers beautiful natural views. The hostel owner is a nice young man, and his parents are extremely friendly.
−The hostel is somewhat far from the city center, but the bus stop is right across from the room. The 9 Arches Train is not far either , just a 40-minute walk."

+The staff gave all the details and recommendations on places to visit. The hostel is just around 3 km from the 9 arches bridge makes it easier to visit. But a little bit far from the city, but still can walk. Towel, blanket and soap was provided. Comfortable room.
−The bathroom is decent, but can be cleaned and maintained properly.

+The owner was so nice & had a good proper parking space & bed & room was so had much more space & owner offer me Moring tea without any charge definitely I will recommend this place to every one & when I get back to Ella next time my stop will be here for sure
−Honestly bed sheets & blankets were bad smell I think they didn’t wash after person use for sure

+There was warm water. The bed seemed okay
−It’s easily the worst location if been to. It’s basically a basement and that’s also how it feels… Very dirty and you probably won’t sleep alone (there are a lot of insect crawling around)

+The host was super nice and accommodating and it was very cheap. Breakfast was very good for a very cheap price.
−The ceiling leaked on you in the bathroom. The room overall felt a little damp. There were holes that bugs could get in too.

+The hostel owner is a nice person and informs you about what you can do in the area.
−The hostel is approximately 3 km away from the city center. Unfortunately, there is no area where you can sit and spend time other than the bed and bathroom. The place was quite neglected and not clean. In general, cleanliness is not paid much attention to in Sri Lanka. Although this place is a cheap place, it needs to provide certain basic things. You can choose this place if you are really in a difficult situation. I hope they use this feedback to improve the place. Cheap place or low-budget backpacker place does not mean poor hygiene conditions and poor conditions. We need to make this distinction correctly.
