“Unsanitary: avoid completely”
+In all honesty, probably just the friends I made there and leaving this place.
−The property is completely unsanitary. I cried when I saw the state of the place on my first night. There was many cockroaches on wall and furnitures in the common area that we stopped watching a movie and went out. We saw mice running in and from the common kitchen. It's unsafe as a guest let a non guest enter the premises and this person got in our room. I had to escort them out and management did nothing about the guest that let this happen. The beds are completely uncomfortable and there is not enough showers/toilets.

“You've been warned”
+Nothing
−I was warned "lots of these guys just got out of gaol, soon as the lights go out you're done for" They wouldn't refund me...

“Great.”
+Everything.
−Minor point that some of the other guests were weird and exploiting the staff’s kindness.

“Cramped, frustrating and ridiculous”
+The location was good
−There was no space for anything of mine in either fridge nor was there space for dry ingredients. There was a hoover and spray of chemicals every morning in the room making it really loud and bad to breathe. Some doors don’t require a key to go in but require one to get out and that locked me in a room for over an hour. One of the bathrooms doesn’t have a lock at all as well and most of the shower heads were broken.

+Really sweet, old building. The location is good, you can take the tram right outside the building.
−Very small kitchen space which is not enough for the guests and also used as a laundry room. In general very limited space in the hallway/kitchen/eating area, so I spent most of my time saying sorry to everyone I ran into. I was a little confused about the reception times and the location of the reception. Its in the pub downstairs, not in the hostel where it says „reception“.

“Really nice”
+It was perfect for a couple.
−Bathrooms but it’s ok, minor complaint. All around well worth the price.

“I really enjoyed the F1 event at Albert Park”
+Near the markets and tram stops with easy access to the city, which was nice
−It's a Hostel, you know what to expect. But having the reception in a pub, probably needs a rethink for guests under 18!

“Alright for a few nights. Good location. Definitely get what you pay for”
+Directly on 2 tram lines towards the city. Strict rules set in place by staff that seemed to be followed good by all guests. Clean enough showers and toilets but not the best.
−The room we booked was listed as a queen room but turned out to be a double room. Mattress not very comfy at all. Towels could do with being replaced, very thin and worn. Pillow quite thin. Walls paper thin so you can hear all guests conversations that happened outside the room, which for us was directly next to the stairs and common area. Again room was directly next to the main road and could hear trams and cars until very late at night. Earplugs are provided but only one pair so best to get some extras. Showers and toilets were quite small. Also only three toilets in total and only two had working locks. Staff vacuuming at 7:30am wasn’t the best also.
