6.0“expensive and cheap quality”
+I recently stayed at Pullman Hotel and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. For the price point, the quality felt far below expectations. The rooms are clearly outdated , the shower and overall bathroom setup feel old and in need of renovation. The bedding was also poor quality and uncomfortable, which is not what you expect from a hotel in this category. Service was another major letdown. Out of roughly 10 interactions entering and leaving the hotel, only once did a staff member make eye contact or acknowledge me. There was a clear lack of warmth, attentiveness, and basic hospitality. The restaurants were particularly frustrating , inflexible service and a general lack of customer care made dining an unpleasant experience. Overall, it feels like you’re paying premium prices for a product that simply doesn’t deliver. Significant improvements are needed in both service and facilities to justify the cost.

2.0“Not family-friendly and very outdated”
+I had a very disappointing experience at Pullman Brisbane King George Square. The hotel feels extremely outdated, especially the bathrooms. There is no proper shower setup, just a fixed overhead shower with no handheld option, which is very inconvenient, especially when traveling with children. Speaking of kids, this hotel is not family-friendly at all. The kids’ menu is very limited, with no chicken options available. When I asked if they could substitute fish with chicken, they said it was possible, but only if I paid full price for a separate chicken schnitzel from the main menu, plus additional charges for sides like chips. This made a simple kids’ meal ridiculously expensive (around $49 for chicken plus $17 for chips), which is unreasonable. To make matters worse, the staff were not accommodating or helpful when trying to find a solution. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families with children. It lacks basic comfort, flexibility, and customer service.

6.0“Do not stay here”
+Check-in experience was positive although not acknowledged as a Gold member. Was provided my 'amenity gift' of a chocolate. Wow. Had overpriced room service on first night and tray wasn't collected until I raised it with concierge the next morning. Seriously? Breakfast was ok but both salt and pepper shakers were empty. They were removed but not replaced. Seriously? Brisbane hotels are over and under deliver. Checkout was 'interesting' with both the night manager and training supervisor trying to decide who would check me out. Seriously weird and not professional at all. Stay elsewhere.

10.0“Brisbane Pullman on George staff member Rachel the best”
+I was on a business trip and checked in at the Pullman on George in Brisbane. I was met by Rachel who met us with a smile and then tendered to all my enquiries and needs in a most professional manner. She is an asset to the hotel and deserves recognition.

6.0“DISAPPOINTING STAY”
+This was our first time staying at the Pullman Brisbane, and we chose to book this hotel as we loved the brand Pullman and have always had positive experiences but sadly it will be our last stay at this particular hotel. Apart from the hotel being in a great location, everything else was a below standard. The hotel is very old and is in dire need of a refurb, even before we got into our room it smelt musty. We visited the gym on the first morning which was located in a very small pokey room and it was ridiculously hot, so hot that it made it difficult to work out. From there we headed to breakfast, the cold selection wasn't too bad but the hot looked and tasted like it had been sitting there for hours which so unacceptable. That afternoon we headed to the Ed Sheeran concert (amazing) and when we got back to our room, it had not been made up leaving us with wet towels. Ring down to reception, fresh towels arrived at 11pm (30 minutes to get towels). And lastly, there was only one lift operating which was a major issue, sometimes waiting 15-20 minutes for the lift. It's disappointing that these hotels charge like they are 5 star but sadly they barely offer you a 3 star service!

10.0“Shoutout to Will”
+I’d like to give a big shoutout to Will, the concierge at the Pullman Hotels & Resorts. I saw him on Sunday and he was incredibly helpful from the moment I approached the desk. He was friendly, professional, and went out of his way to make sure everything I needed was sorted quickly and smoothly. It’s always nice to come across someone who genuinely cares about guests having a great experience. Thanks again, Will, you made my stay so much easier and more enjoyable!

2.0“Terrible. Do not stay here”
+We are platinum members and this has been our worst stay in any Accor. We booked 2 rooms on the executive floor to have lounge access, but there was no lounge (we were not informed). Our “compensation” was one free drink (terrible choices) and some fruit (that we never got as it was delivered to the wrong room)! So much for having a nice area to entertain my parents with canapés & drinks! Issues with rooms: 1. Huge crack in sink 2. No plug in bath, so couldn’t be used 3. Cracked toilet 4. Chipped aged decor Issues with hotel: 1. Two lifts for whole hotel, which is inadequate and then one broke, so enormous delays 2. No nice bar/area to sit in However worst part was the service. Abysmal! Hotel was full and clearly they couldn’t cope. There was nowhere to sit at to have a drink. Despite the hotel being “full”, a significant part of the ”very drab” bar full of ugly plastic chairs was taken over by a wedding. The restaurant staffing was also dreadful. We had to ask repeatedly for our drinks, no one came to ask how or meal was or if we would like another drink. Most of the food was ok, but not to the usual Pullman standard and one dish was inedible. Breakfast was so busy, they advised u

8.0“Very dated”
+The positives include the staff, the location and the quietness of the room. All benefits at the Pullman Brisbane. Unfortunately, that is where it stops. Self-parking was the only option on B3, no lift, so you take your luggage up the driveway ramp to B2. The room was very dated - no mobile USB (of any kind) - a dial-up modem connector was there - fridge didn't work, no mini bar. You separately paid $ 55 for self-parking. So not a great experience (the age of the hotel and rooms) let the location down

8.0“A well sited hotel that needs a little tlc”
+This hotel is on the corner of Roma and Ann streets, so it is conveniently situated next to a bus station and not far from Roma Street Railway Station. Our room was a large corner room with reasonable views, but, like the rest of the hotel, it showed signs of wear and tear. Some maintenance would not go astray. While most things we needed were in our room, we were surprised there was no clock and no jug in the fridge. Fortunately, we had taken our own charging cords, as while there were power points galore, USB charging points were sadly lacking. A small amount spent on what are really minor issues would add immeasurably to the pleasure of staying there.

2.0“Worst Experience in our Travels Ever”
+The Hotel was very faulty. One lift had not been operating for some weeks the other did not show what floor you were stopping at inside the lift. The pool shown on their website belongs to the hotel next door and accessed through the Mercures lifts (we were not advised this on check in) the bar/food shown on the website does not open at least not early January the pool belonging to the Mercure is very small. If you try and phone the Hotel they do not answer at least on the weekend over a 10 hour period. I left my expensive Hair straighteners in the room. We went to the Hotel 3 times to retrieve and were told they were not there. We then said we would file a complaint with the police for theft as we know they were in the room when we left. They then said they would check one more time and guess what they found them. We got a refund for the second night we were to stay after day 1. This is not 5 star more like a poor 2 star and needs to be revamped which the manager agreed it was overdue. So probably the worst Hotel and help service we have ever been to in at least 40 years. Maybe suitable for a backpackers.
