−Requesting refund. The room advertised and purchased wasn’t the room provided as the receptionist told us they’d already given the larger room away to someone and the room shouldn’t have been advertised. Tried to offer us another cheaper and smaller room but wasn’t adequate. Been struggling to obtain my refund - very unhappy

“Wouldn’t recommend this accommodation at all”
+Nothing not one thing I could tell you that was good about this place.
−The room was dirty with rubbish under the bed and down the side of the bed. The smoke alarm was covered with a sock and the ceiling was too high for me to remove it, the room smelt of cigarette smoke. The toilet was dirty with foul waste marks and foul waste over it, the shower cubicle didn’t have a hose or a shower head so I couldn’t have a wash after a 7 hour journey. The windows are single glazed and rattled all night along with a flood light that was directly shinning in to my room, the curtains were tatty thin fabric that were too short for the window. People slamming doors until about 2/2:30am honestly the worst ‘hotel’ I’ve stay at.

+Nothing. Maybe a bit of credit to the staff for trying to be pleasant.
−The whole things is just rundown and dirty. It had a wet wooden floor on arrival i had to ask for heater as there was no heating and the windows dnt close the curtains were waving all night a very stormy night with a street light right outside. There was a dirty kettle underneath the table it was just a real mess. The bathroom OMG..

“Worse Nightmare”
+Nothing. I want a refund. It was so dirty, smelly and scary I couldnt even stay in it for 5 minutes. I didnt want to touch anything and i felt itchy just walking in it. The curtains were nailed up and drooping. It felt more like a crack den or a brothel than a hotel. It made the Travelodge look 5 star. You would get more dirty using the shower and bathroom if you used it. Bed was stained, pillows were dirty, walls falling apart. So traumatic, I gave them my key and walked out.
−I didn't like anything... I want a refund as I walked in and walked out. The overwhelming bad smells, the room was so dirty and falling apart. It felt unsafe, unsanitary and I felt itchy even walking in. It made the Travelodge feel like 5 stars. I paid an extra £10 for a private bathroom which if I had used I would of left worse off. The curtains were nailed up and falling off. It felt more like a crack den or a brothel than a hotel. I would take sleeping in my car over there any day. I walked in, walked out, cried and returned my key. Don't stay here. Pay more, sleep in your car or even in a tent in a park.

−I was very disappointed with my stay. The room and bathroom appeared poorly maintained, with visible staining around the bathroom ceiling, marked surfaces, and worn or damaged doors and fittings. The condition of the accommodation was below the standard I expected, and I do not feel the experience justified the price I paid. I am seeking a refund through Booking.com and hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously rather than dismissing them. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
