+Location to Mt. Rushmore and Custer state park was great. The lodge also has a terrific restaurant. The staff was very accommodating and our room, while on the small side it was very clean and comfortable.

“The most comfortable, quiet and picturesque experience!”
+We loved the dining, the best in the area! Scenic views where the cabin was located was awesome, and it is close to the sites visitors like to see. Overall, the best experience of all the hotels (5) we stayed at during our 10 day trip!
−We did not want to leave.

“A quaint place to stay in this SD area.”
+The adjacent restaurant was very good for the 2 meals we ate there. Staff was first rate. Rooms were a bit on the small side but we managed by stacking things. Very clean and attendant linen requests. The location was central to all of our local travels.
−A larger room? A bit cramped but you can make do.

+Friendly staff and excellent restaurant on site. Great ventral location for the Black Hills.
−Rooms are a bit dated and door lock was questionable, but clean and comfortable.

“Relaxing short stay in the Black Hills”
+Beautiful setting in the Black Hills. The room was small, but it was clean and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor sitting area. But probably what we will remember most is the on site restaurant, which was fabulous! We ate there for dinner and then came back for breakfast. We enjoyed the location away from the noise and crowds in Keystone.
−Since our stay was a room in a row of rooms up a hill, we had to navigate outdoor stone steps to get to the room with our luggage. Knowing this, I guess you can request a room with no steps.
