“Rude staff - not acceptable...”
+There's not much to like - it's a very basic type of accommodation.
−The service from the staff was appalling. Check-in was at the bar in the restaurant adjoining the guest-house. The staff told me to wait with no explanation, and served all the people at the bar before attending to me - fair enough, they had to attend to people in the order that they had arrived, but they were very rude in the way they spoke to me. One of the staff, a young guy just shouted across the bar at me ‘wait’. Initially I put this down to maybe he didn’t speak much English, but later on I heard him speaking perfectly good English. The next morning, there was an older guy at the bar who was extremely rude when I wanted to check-out and hand the keys back. At the time, I partially put this rude behaviour down to the guy being very busy and not being able to cope (though there weren’t that many customers at the bar in the morning). But my co-traveller suggested that the guy’s behaviour might be racially motivated. I was the only non-white person there (and the night before too) and no-one else was dealt with in the rude manner that I was. Were they racist? Who knows! Whatever the reason for their rudeness, it is unacceptable.

“Good value for the money”
+* The price is very good * A lot of free parking space * Clean and comfortable bed and pillow * Good water pressure * Cheap drinks and food at their bar/restaurant
−* No AC (it can get very warm), you have to keep the windows open, but no mosquitoes * We had to send the money through a bank deposit * You have to ask for a hair drier * They didn't clean up/change towels every day * The floor makes noises and you can hear people for other rooms

“Polientes is an ideal stop over, 1.5 hours south of Santander”
+Comfortable accommodation, the hotel has a bar/restaurant, which is most welcome for the weary traveller. The staff and locals were most friendly.

“Gostei, recomendo!”
+A localização e a tranquilidade durante a noite. A cama é confortável.

+El pueblo es precioso y la habitación en sí no estaba mal. El baño estaba limpio.
−Nuestra ubicación era en una buhardilla en la que hacía muchísimo calor y no había ni aire acondicionado ni ventilador ni nada. Con la ventana abierta completamente no entraba ni una pequeña brisa. La cama supletoria era incomodísima. La posada está ubicada en la plaza del pueblo y había personas jugando y gritando hasta las 3 de la madrugada. El restaurante la comida está muy buena pero estaban saturados y las copas nos las pusieron dos veces sucias, el baño muy sucio también.
