“Cosy, Warm and Comfy but Impersonal”
+Lovely comfy bed and love the look of the place. Nice and cosy
−The lack of staff may be handy and a less expensive way of running the hotel but it felt empty and impersonal. Having stayed here before the previous owners where nice to speak to and welcoming.

+The venue was good the setting was exceptional can't fault that
−The fact there was no staff if you had an issue and unfortunately my breakfast box didn't turn up on the two nights I stayed, the room was very cosy and comfortable

“Felt a bit like a ghost town. I had a very small room, nicely decorated”
+Location was good
−Heavy rain and the room I was in sounded like it had a tin roof - it was so loud

“Lovey quirky place. Great location and views.”
+Great location; peaceful, lovely views. Nice decor and the bar was a good idea. Very quiet. Good spacious and powerful shower. Kind of enjoyed the freedom of there being no staff but it was kind of strange for a hotel.
−The toilet seat kept falling on me :-D it needs fixing. No loo roll was left. We had to go out and buy some!! Didn't want to make a phone call just for that. Would have preferred a cooked breakfast for the price and in the Autumn. Would have been nice to be told that builders would be right above our room blasting out music and drilling upon arrival. We could have just arrived later if we'd been told.

+Quiet. Comfy bed. Beautiful surroundings. Honesty bar. Nice idea for breakfast in a basket. Ample parking.
−Shaving point in bathroom would have been helpful.

“A very relaxed and beautiful location”
+It was very secluded, welcoming and dog friendly. Having a continental breakfast delivered to our room meant a very relaxed start to the day. The location was beautiful and our dog didn’t want to leave she loved it so much!
−Nothing comes to mind

“Awful experience - room not as described, staff unhelpful and rude.”
+The location of the hotel is great, a beautiful part of Wales. Just such a shame we had such a poor experience of the hotel.
−Our booking was made and confirmed for 2 adults and 2 children, and we paid £205.20 for one night for a family room. The room description said a family room with ‘two beds’. When we arrived, the room provided contained one double bed and one sofa. We were rudely handed some bed sheets and told to follow instructions on a sheet of paper to make the sofa into a sofa bed and then make the bed up ourselves using the sheets. We followed the instructions but the resulting bed was the same width as a single bed and not suitable for two children. Also the fitted bed shared provided did not fit properly on the L shaped sofa. I have photographic evidence of the sofa provided and will happily share them. We immediately raised this with the property, but we were told that they were fully booked and there was nothing they could do. The only suggestion offered was that our children should sleep “top and tail” on the sofa. We did not consider this an acceptable solution. We booked and paid for accommodation for four people, and the room provided did not have appropriate sleeping arrangements for four people. Unfortunately, by the time we discovered the problem it was too late to reasonably find a
