“Disappointing stay despite the many positive reviews”
+The staff were extremely friendly, communication was excellent, and early check-in was possible when available. The location is lovely, with beautiful views and good WiFi. We also appreciated having access to a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and drinking water.
−Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. - No hot water: There was no hot water in the shower. - Extremely uncomfortable bed: Honestly, one of the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in. - Cleanliness: The room was not properly cleaned, especially the floor. We ended up with long, dark hairs stuck to our feet, even though my husband is bald and I have platinum blonde hair. There was also a lot of dust and dead insects on the floor. - Lack of comfort: It gets dark around 6 PM, and sitting outside on the terrace becomes almost impossible because of the insects. This is perfectly understandable given the natural surroundings. However, inside the room there is nothing but a bed. A small sitting area with two comfortable chairs would make a big difference. - Small, humid room: The room is very small, and since there are no mosquito nets over the bed or insect screens on the windows, you have little choice but to keep everything closed. As a result, the room felt very humid and even slightly claustrophobic. - No staff on site: We were the only guests during our stay, and the staff left around 3 PM. We were completely alone on the property for the rest of the

“Beautiful views”
+Great location if you want to be walking distance from the town but still get great views. Lovely terrace where you can watch hummingbirds and have a nice breakfast (20,000 COP). They also do lunch. For dinner you have to go elsewhere unless you eat early. But it’s only a 15min walk to the town down the road, just bring a headtorch. Helpful and friendly staff and owner
−Aircon and mosquito net would be a good addition

“From the first contact with Pierre and upon arrival, I had the feeling that after a hectic period, I could finally relax”
+The peace and tranquility you feel immediately as you step onto the terrace at the reception and also when you enter the room. There is a very pleasant atmosphere, which is naturally created by the nature and jungle you have a direct view of, but certainly also by Pierre and his team. The room is very spacious, clean, nicely decorated and with the sliding doors open, you feel like you are part of nature. The hummingbird literally rushes past your ears, and the ‘sounds’ of the jungle as soon as the sun sets are actually the only sound you hear. Right in the middle of nature and yet within walking distance of Minca. The location is therefore truly perfect! Everything is very lovely taken care of, even some facilities for making coffee, tea, or using a fridge. Pierre is very helpful, attentive, very quick to answer messages, and is happy to help you with all kinds of recommendations for tours or things to do and discover in the area.

“Great view , relaxing!”
+Location and great view. 10-12 minutes walking distance from Minca center
−The flooring needs better cleaning. There were many long hairs on the carpet and in the toilet.

+The hostel is perfect. The restaurant is open till 16h and the rooms are downstairs. The view is beautiful. The wall between the beds is nice and there is a hammock in the room. Hummingbirds are right by your window. The hostel is easily accessible by moto taxi and the staff was very helpful when we needed one. There was also a waterfall nearby that we could enjoy.
−Not the only hotel in Minca we experienced this, but the bed are too hard and you feel like you are sleeping on plywood. Luckily the hammock was a nice alternative. Also the drain of shower was blocked.

“Super séjour pour découvrir Minca !”
+La vue depuis la chambre et la terrasse est super pour profiter du coucher de soleil ! Plein de colibris Chambre confortable Pierre a été ultra disponible et de bon conseil Le petit dej et la cuisine sont top On ne peut que recommander
−Il faut marcher un peu mais sans ça on n’aurait pas la super vue et du coup on est plus proche des cascades !
