“Pleasant enough with a reasonable breakfast”
+Well situated
−A bit dated. Luckily my daughter and I are small - the shower cubicle was tiny.

“Great little place ideal for a night or 2”
+Comfy bed, nice and warm, great staff, food was lovely, staff had good local knowledge for food places, felt safe as had cctv and if someone entered the building they was attentive to who it was (example ordered a takeaway husband came in and out and they came out and made sure he was okay) Also to say there having renovations we didnt even here anything i.e drilling ect!
−Not the hotels falt however there was loud shouting and a dog was also very loud barking early morning both from houses near but this may have been a 1 off

“Budget and basic”
+The rooms were basic but clean.you get what you pay for a budget hotel.Breakfast was a good budget offering
−The bed was very uncomfortable soft,thin mattress and thin duvet they need replacing especially for winter months

“Not a typical Booking.com standard of hotel”
+In all honesty nothing to like in its present condition.
−Extremely dated and in need of major repairs/ refurbishment. Carpets worn, dirty and the reception area smelt of stale food. The walls between the rooms are paper thin so you can hear every word. Had a very noisy family next to me which ruined any chance of sleeping through. Originally booked 3 nights for work but checked out after the 1st night. Mirror broke in room, plug loose in sink, shower not clean, cobwebs everywhere. Kettle full of water from previous guests. Shower was hot but water flow was pitiful.

“Awful”

−Absolutely shocking. We booked the so called “deluxe family room”. Paint peeling off the walls, carpet in rags, bathroom dotted with black mould. Bedside tables coated in an unknown spilled liquid. Litter and crumbs all over the carpet. No towels provided l, bathroom window wouldn’t close. Awful lighting and aged sockets that looked like they would electrocute you. Beds old and creaky, walls paper thin so we could hear every conversation, toilet flush and door bang of our neighbours all night. Genuinely, if it hadn’t been for my 5yr old being desperately tired and needing to sleep after us driving all day, we wouldn’t have stayed. This place is in a prime location and building to be a very pleasant stay, but it needs an awful lot of updating and cleaning!!

+Building is fabulous its got style n character, stringless window as go up stairs is amazing,,its ideal situated not too far from city centre, easy access for shops by public transport n fantastic car parking places, extremely friendly staff n very friendly highly recommended,,most certainly will be staying again, as ive have done for many years 😀 👍🏻
