“Great Hotel - Integrity, honesty & professionalism.”
+The staff at the Pharoahs hotel are very helpful. The breakfast staff were friendly. The porters and front desk were very professional We double booked our room by mistake, and we were offered a refund when they realised it was a genuine mistake. There was no word of argument about it. Such goodwill and honesty is rare. We were very impressed.
−Everything was as expected for what we paid. The location is great, and the staff are friendly, giving us advice to make sure we had a great stay

“I lost trust and would not recommend”
+They had a restaurant/bar attached so a few of us went for beers there on a few occasions even though, apart from one night, we stayed elsewhere.
−They failed on a lot of levels. My Intrepid Tour was due to start at the Hotel so I booked one night beforehand. Then my tour changed to an earlier date, so I changed my booking. The hotel charged me on arrival but somehow they still had my booking recorded for the later date AND they charged me (a second time) - they suggested I did a "no-show" which is wrong. Then they suggested that my 2nd booking was through Trip.com - Trip.com confirmed that this was not the case - I have never used Trip for accommodation. They just won't admit they made a mistake and insist on keeping my money. I have tried with them, with Booking.com and now my bank to get this resolved. While I wait on my bank I will next contact Intrepid travel for assistance as they use this hotel as a starting point. If they respond to this msg, don't believe them. Before I knew about the double charge these were my comments: Numerous times they asked me to give a good review and they would give me a gift - fat chance of that happening now! The AC leaked a huge puddle on floor after only 30 mins. No fitted sheets on bed so the bottom sheet comes loose.

“Nice place to stay in Cairo/Giza”
+The included breakfast is very nice and it is in a very nice location right by the Nile and close access to many restaurants.
−Wifi in my room was very spotty, although the wifi in Egypt in general seemed to not be so good so not sure if it could be fixed.

−The location was in a very dirty street and didn't look save to walk around. The facilities are very round down.
