+Stayed at the Peter Allen Motel and honestly, it was exactly what you’d expect for the price, cheap, but it shows. The room felt old, tired, and not particularly clean. It definitely hasn’t had any love in a long time. While I wasn’t expecting luxury, the condition of the place made it a bit uncomfortable. I’m also surprised by some of the higher-rated reviews,it’s hard to see how this place earns anything more than a 4, let alone glowing praise. If you’re after basic and budget, it does the job. Just don’t expect much else.

“Beware of room 19”
+This was a standard motel. We upgraded to a king bed room but the shower was covered in mild. I complained to the manager and he allowed us to move to a standard room. The room had a clean shower recess and the bed was comfortable. I was told by the other manager that the shower in our original room had a leak and the shower recess had silicon treatment that went black with the hard water. In my opinion this room should never have been rented. We have not been offered a refund for the extra cost we paid for the upgraded room as we stayed the 2 nights in the standard room. Both rooms needed a proper clean as there was dust on surfaces and fans but the manager explained it was hard getting cleaners. The motel was in an excellent location being in the Main Street. The water in the shower was hot and had great pressure. The air conditioner was super noisy. It was a fairly quiet location.

+Not what was shown in online profile. Smoking area for staff too close to room. Lighting and electric blankets faulty and hairdryer not in room although listed as being in room. Pillows need an upgrade
