8.0“Lovely place to stay when visiting Lake Bled.”
+Fantastic location right on the lake. Beautiful outside deck to the cafe. Comfortable room.
−We were disappointed the bar/restaurant closed at 6pm one night and 7pm the next meaning there was nowhere to go in the evening.

9.0+Excellent location, good breakfast. The house restaurant is a nice and easy choice for lunch, dinner and drinks throughout the day.
−The room was very small with insufficient storage solution and no place for two luggage. I know there are larger rooms - to be considered upon the reservation. There is no breakfast buffet. The breakfast choice is by a fixed menu, which makes it harder to personalize your breakfast preferences.

8.0+Cannot fault the location - right on the lake with amazing views from the restaurant patio. Breakfast was generous and tasty. Our room was tiny and at the back of the hotel so wasn't great value for the price but it was very clean and it was great that it was cleaned daily.
−The key issue was that this definitely isn't a 4-star hotel. We expected more because of that rating. This would be considered a decent 3-star (although still quite expensive). You're definitely paying for the location and the true cost of that is sacrificing the quality of the overall hotel experience.

9.0+The location is second to none. Then they have a good choice of breakfast, of which they serve you loads in the morning. You won't be leaving the hotel hungry before you head out to Bled to explore your surroundings.
−We felt some elements of the room to be a little bit tatty (bed side drawers for instance). Bear in mind we did not stay in one of the suites. A minor thing for worth mentioning..

7.0“Ideal location”
+On the lake shore. Ideal location for early morning photography walks! Within the park area, the environment felt safe.
−Limited choice for breakfast. I would have liked a small buffet of continental breakfast items in addition to one option from the menu.

10.0“Absolutely magical.”
+Absolutely awesome. My room was straight out of a movie set. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the view with a glass of wine was heavenly. Location is brilliant. The breakfast was very good too.
−A lift would have been a great bonus.

8.0“Excellent location with convenient parking.”
+Very good location on the lake shore with a restaurant overlooking the lake. Free parking spaces in a secure parking area in front of the hotel. You need to park in the street and walk around the back to the reception desk located at the back of the restaurant to register; the receptionist will give you the keys to your room with a key fob to open the gate to park. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful with assistance parking and luggage, but she is only there for a very limited amount of time. We had to check-out with the restaurant staff. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the lake, it was relatively small but had a very large armoire with a luggage rack, but no room to put it. There was a long desk on one side of the room with a chair, ample number of electrical outlets in convenient locations, TV, WIFI, small refrigerator and safe. The large double (US King size) bed was firm but very comfortable with comfortable pillows. The bathroom was small, but adequate for a short stay, and a walk-in shower. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor; you pick any breakfast item on the restaurant menu. The food quality was very good and plentiful.
−I would have rated this hotel a 9, except for these issues: The A/C didn’t work, we had to open the balcony doors to sleep. The room and bathroom are very small and somewhat dated decor. Not a big negative but be aware that European hotels don’t provide wash clothes, and shampoo and conditioners are often limited, or of poor quality, we bring our own.

6.0“Fantastic location.”
+Villa Preseren sits right by Lake Bled. The location couldn't be better. The layout is a bit weird as the main entrance is through the bar area which is on the lake-side of the hotel but the parking is at the rear. We arrived several hours before check-in but we were able to leave our cases in the reception area whilst we spent the day visiting the island and walking round the lake. We stayed for 1 night in the top floor suite. This has a lot of accommodation space, and fantastic views out over the lake but the decor and furnishings felt a bit dark and dated to our taste. Nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a lovely dinner al fresco in the restaurant overlooking the lake. We'd recommend it for the location and views.
−We felt the decor was a bit dated.

9.0“A very comfortable hotel with an absolutely breathtaking view of Lake Bled and very near to the town centre.”
+The location was amazing. It was on the side of the lake and very close to the centre of town
−Apart from checking in, there was never anyone on reception so we always had to bother the very busy staff in the bar and restaurant
