10.0“Love this place”
+Being able to request for picked up and sent off was a plus point. Hostess and team is responsive and friendly. Plenty of amenities provided such as hot drinks, self care, vending machine and washing machine. Lounge area also available for you to relax, watch tv, read manga and also massage chair. They got 2 onsen available for reservation for FREE. You can walk to Tsugaike resort or their driver can sent you to the destination
−all is good

10.0“Great stay, would recommend.”
+Run by a lovely host. Light toast breakfast was included with our stay. Lots of shuttles offered that we didn’t use because we had a car. Nice amenity bar offered.
−Location is a little removed from Tsugaike base, though still walking distance. If you book a room without a private bathroom, the only place to shower is the public bath which may have limited availability.

10.0“I would highly recommend staying at this family-run local Japanese accommodation!”
+Excellent service. The landlady and all the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Incredibly clean. Great location - quiet but only a 10 minute walk into town (or their is a shuttle that is offered). Amazing japanese bath facilities

10.0“Large comfortable rooms, good breakfast, comfortable social lounge with a massage chair and very warm and friendly owner”
+The hospitality of the staff and the private Japanese baths that you can book a 45 minute time slot for.
−The walls were a little thin, so you can hear voices and doors slamming a lot if other guests were loud.

10.0“Great facilities and friendly and accommodating hosts in Tsugaike”
+We had a wonderful stay at Pension Kobekke with our 9-month old baby. We had read in other reviews that the owners would pick us up from the bus stop, but it was a bonus to learn that there were also multiple shuttles available throughout the day to take us to and from the local ski resort, as well as a shuttle service for dinner time. The rooms are much more spacious than anywhere else we’ve encountered in Japan, and the family that runs Pension Kobekke is so friendly and accommodating. Our baby had the best time in the kids area and we enjoyed the private bath facilities, which were kept clean. We ate dinner at the accommodation one night and the food was delicious and plentiful. There is also a communal lounge area with space to relax in massage chairs, which is great after a day of skiing! The local resort (Tsugaike) is perfect for beginners/intermediate and we hope to return again in the near future.

9.0“Good value for Hakuba Comfortable Stay”
+2 mins away from Tsugakei ski resort and free shuttle available. Super friendly and kind person of lady owner, able to speak simple English and communicate well. The shared bathroom were clean and share lounge was comfortable and we enjoyed it a lot. Bought day pass there was easy and cheaper than online too but cash only. Four-wheel or at least snow chain are strongly recommended for travel in winter, our friend rental car with two-wheel and snow tyre was stuck when we leave due to heavy snowfall and we felt so sorry for all the trouble caused.
−The en-suite bathroom felt a bit old and the water temperature wasn’t easy to control. However, the shared bath was good, so it wasn’t an issue for us.

10.0“Amazing stay, while enjoying the Alps!”
+We were the only guests at the pension, but we were still taken care of amazingly. Our room was clean, comfortable beds, bathroom was small but the Onsen was ready to use so we did not need the bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were amazing as well. We were picked up at the trajn station. And bells were available during our hike to scare away the bears.
−Nothing.

10.0“Amazing!”
+It was our first time in Japan. We drove from Tokyo to Sapporo to ski at several resorts. Pension Kobekko was by far the highlight of all our accomodation. We stayed 4 nights and it felt like a home away from home, from the moment we stepped in. Tika is the most accomodating host, so warm and helpful. We had a double room with bathroom and it was very large, clean and warm. We had one breakfast and one dinner and both were sensational. The facilities are amazing including tea and coffee, cozy lounge room, dry room, laundry facilities (washer/dryer), shuttle bus to the slopes or town for dinner. But the absolute best part was the 2 private onsens which I used morning and night. I actually didn't want to leave but we will make sure to book again next year. Thank you Tika xox
−There is nothing not to like.

10.0“A cosy stay in a beautiful (and quieter) part of Hakuba Valley”
+We had a great stay at Pension Kobekko. Our hosts were warm, friendly and accommodating. The Pension is just a few minutes drive from Tsugaike, and there is a shuttle service available. We hope to visit again!
