10.0+I had a really lovely stay here. The owner is such a kind and welcoming lady who helped me with everything and made me feel comfortable from the start. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. The garden is adorable, full of birds and squirrels, with a beautiful view. My room was spacious and clean. I truly enjoyed my time here and would happily recommend it.

8.0“For a budget traveller, Pasan guest makes your stay in Ella easy and comfortable, like you were staying with a local fri”
+Nimalka and her family were very helpful and warm towards us! We really felt like we were invited guests, provided with handmade breakfasts, travel tips, casual check-ups on us, and just the effort to make our stay in Ella as great as possible. We had varying breakfast options, allergies taken into consideration, laundry service and they even drove us to some sightseeing/activities. Walking-distance to restaurants and services (and Gaia Yoga!) and amazing views straight from your room!
−In Ella, it can be rainy and colder than some other parts of Sri Lanka so the buildings (in general I suppose) can be a bit chilly and moist. We were offered extra blankets for this purpose though :) Also, no mold or weird odours in this facility. We had only lukewarm water in the shower which again, is quite common.

10.0“Great place and great views.”
+My stay here was great. The view was amazing. That alone was worth the price of the room. Then, the host, Nimalka, was wonderful. She cares about her guests and does everything she can to accommodate them. She will make breakfast at a time that suits you and will answer any questions or queries you may have. She is very caring. The property itself was spotless, e.g. very clean. It is situated just a few minutes away from the bus stand. The train station is about 10 minutes walk away. Great place to stay.
−Nothing.

9.0“Superb”
+The location was incredible, the view where you sit to eat breakfast is gorgeous! The lady who ran the hotel was extremely accommodating and gave me a warm welcome when I arrived. I would definitely stay here again. It's very peaceful and you feel immersed in nature.

7.0“It's okay”
+The owner is very nice and helpful. It's 10 min walk from town and the views are beautiful from the homestay. The room was clean.
−The room itself looks old and not welcoming. The bathroom stinks of humidity and I got one leech in the shower. In 2 of our 3 days the talks of the other guests in the terrace woke me up very early in the morning, you hear everything.

10.0“Exceptional”
+The room was on a hill so we had a direct view to Ella Rock. The room was clean and we had some tea and even a hairdryer. The owner was really friendly, she helped us organize different activities during our stay and even prepared us a breakfast to go on the morning we had to leave at 4 am. I would really recommend this place.

10.0“Welcoming, comfortable and peaceful place to stay in Ella”
+The family at Pasan Guesthouse were friendly, attending to our needs (organising tuk tuk driver, places to go etc) and especially made us feel at home. Easy walk into town (I'm 66) yet a quiet peaceful place to stay with a private verandah and garden to stop and look at the mountain view.

10.0“A very warm welcome”
+A very warm welcome and an amazing view from your own personal veranda. Really nice breakfast with some great food and always happy to offer help and advice.
−Anyone stopping here should bring a torch as it's down a bendy dark road... But on the plus side you see fire flies zooming about as you head up the track to the accommodation!

10.0“Peaceful and quiet with stunning views and a warm family atmosphere”
+We loved the location of Pasan Guest, it was so beautiful, quiet and peaceful that we spent a lot of time sitting outside in the little courtyard, admiring the amazing views and the birdlife. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and we also enjoyed the home-cooked dinners. It was close enough to walk to Little Adam's Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge and just a short tuktuk ride back from town. The family who run Pasan Guest are lovely and looked after us very well.
−We couldn't open the window in the bathroom so there wasn't much ventilation and it got quite damp.
